Two weeks later.....

Kyrie

"Scary Terry!" I yelled with a smile as he let me in.

He chuckled, closing the door of his house behind me.
"What's up my man."

"Uh, nothing much. Daughter's at her godmothers and I'm bored so where's the 2k?" I asked, plopping down on his couch.

I came over his house just to catch up and play some 2k. I'd thought it would be a great way to kill time.

"Damn, no 'how you been'. Sometimes I feel like you just use me for my TV man." He joked, handing me the controller and turning the game on.

I chuckled.
"How's it going Terry?"

"Great actually."

I nodded, selecting my team.
"That's good."

He shrugged.
"I be bored though, you know? Tryna find me  a girl. You want to put me on?" He asked jokingly, eyes still glued to the screen as we started the game.

"I would but my love life is just as dry as yours." I chuckled.

"How is the love life?" Terry asked, firmly grasping the controller in his hand.

I sighed and chuckled.
"Uh, Non existent."

"Damn man. You haven't been on any dates recently?"

"No. I just...I've been busy with Olivia and the season, that I haven't really been focused on the dating scene."

He nodded.
"So no one has caught your eye?" He asked, pausing the game.

I shrugged.
"Well, there is this one person."

He smiled and raised an eyebrow.
"Who?"

"It's..." I paused. "This is going to sound weird but it's Olivia's teacher."

He raised an eyebrow.
"Oh really? You into older women?"

I sighed.
"No, she's actually really young. Like early to mid 20's. I mean she's beautiful. But I don't know.."

"Why not? I mean shoot your shot."

"It's just-"

"You worried how she'll react to you being a single parent?"

"No. No. Nothing like that. It's just, we haven't gotten off on the right foot."

He took a sip of his drink and leaned back on the couch.
"What did you do Irving?"

"You know how I was late picking up Olivia the other day?"

He nodded.
"Yeah. You left practice so fast, you were half naked."

I rolled my eyes.
"Yes. Well, I was extremely late and the teacher, was pissed. Like really pissed, she kind of scolded me."

"Well, Atleast you know she cares about kids."

"Well, she has a kid of her own."

He paused and almost choked on his drink.
"Wait what?"

"That's the other thing...she has a son."

"Wait, so she's not single?"

"No she is-"

"So what's the problem?"

"Wouldn't it be weird to date her teacher?"

"Kind of..but that doesn't mean you can't pursue it.."

I raised an eyebrow and sighed, turning back to the TV.
"Maybe."

Cassie

"Auntie Sab!" Xavier yelled, hugging her as she walked in.

"Wassup my boy!" Sabrina smiled, picking him up.

"I have to do homework." He pouted.

"All you have to do is color X." I sighed with a smile as Sabrina put him down.

"Yeah, but we don't have any light blue crayons." He complained.

Sabrina shrugged.
"Mix white and dark blue."

He rolled his eyes.
"Not the same thing." He mumbled, walking back over to his table.

Me and Sabrina day in my living room as Friends played in the background.
"That little boy is such a diva."

I leaned back and chuckled.
"He does not get that from me, I can tell you that."

"Ah, he gets it from Chris."

I nodded and shrugged.
"Chris was a diva and his son is exactly the same way."

"With Xavier it's adorable, with Chris, he was just a rich douche." Sabrina sighed. "How long has it been..since you've heard from him?"

"Years, I think 6 1/2 years to be exact."

"I still can't believe after all this time, that he just fell off the face of the earth."

"I still remember the day I told him I was pregnant. I ran across campus at night even though you told me not to."

She chuckled.
"That night was a nightmare for both of us."

"When I told him..he was weird, like he was happy then it just faded like reality hit him all at once and he just froze me out, saying he needed to think and he'd talk to me tomorrow. Then bam, gone. Not to be seen since." I sighed.

"I still think he's the reason you haven't dated anyone since."

"Shut up, I've dated people."

She raised an eyebrow.
"No, you've gone out with people then claimed you weren't ready and broke it off after a day."

I rolled my eyes.
"Whatever. There's just no one that's been right."

"No one has caught your eye recently?" She asked.

I shook my head.
"Nope. I'm just going to..stay solo for right now."

She nodded.
"Okay."

"I didn't know Kyrie Irving was Olivia's dad." I mentioned, switching topics.

Sabrina nodded.
"Yeah. I remember when he came to enroll her. I was shocked, had to hide my inner fan girl."

"She's so sweet."

"She is, isn't she."
