"Uncle Mike get back here!" Xavier yelled as Michael walked in.

"No way little man." He smiled, running away through the living room.

I chuckled and sat up.
"What are you guys doing? Other than making my neighbors mad."

"He stole the spaghetti."

"You said I could put it in the pot!" Michael argued.

Xavier scowled and grabbed the spaghetti from Michael.
"I'll do it."

"Don't let him hurt himself." I chuckled,

Michael smiled and nodded as Xavier called his name out to help him. He had been over here a lot and it was like we never separated. The friendship that I had with him in college was still there. He was one of the only best friends I'd ever had, except Sabrina. Ironic how they're siblings. Xavier loved having someone to play video games and mess with. I just loved having an old friend back since I'd been lonely since Kyrie was on the road more often.
My phone started ringing and I answered it, seeing Kyrie's name pop up.

"Hey babygirl!" He said with a smile as his face popped up.

"Hey babe. What are you doing?"

"I just got back from practice. I'm exhausted." He sighed, laying back.

"Aw, it's worth it though. Your balling like a superstar in Cali. I'm proud of you."

"Thank you. I needed that." He yawned.

I chuckled.
"You should get some sleep. You have an early game tomorrow."

"No." He mumbled, "I want to talk to you.."

"Okay, Okay."

"How's your day been?"

"It's been good. Liv misses you, X does too."

"Huh!?" Xavier yelled in the background.

"I was talking to Kyrie not you little boy."

He quickly ran over and smiled into the phone. I was glad that he had actually started building a positive relationship with Kyrie.
"Hey Kyrie!"

He smiled widely.
"Hey X! What you doing little man?"

"Making spaghetti! Me and Uncle Mike are making it for mommy!"

Kyrie's eyebrows furrowed.
"Uncle mike?"

"Yeah mommy's friend."

"Mommy's friend huh?" Kyrie said, turning to me.

I turned to Xavier and sighed.
"Can you finish helping Michael please?"

He nodded.
"Okay, Bye Kyrie!"

"I'll see you soon buddy!" Kyrie said before turning to me again as Xavier left. "Michael is over there?"

I nodded.
"Yeah, we were hanging out and he offered to make dinner while I finished some lesson plans."

"Can we talk about him being over th-"

"Cassie! Where is your mop?" Michael yelled from the kitchen.

"He made a mess mommy!"

I sighed and turned back to the phone.
"I'm going to call you later Alright. Love you!"

Kyrie

"I love-" I sighed and rolled my eyes as she hung up. "-you too."

I threw my phone back onto the bed and turned on the TV trying to distract my mind from the jealousy that clouded it. I've dealt with this time and time again. Being gone, away from your partner, for long periods of time takes major toles on the relationship. This was me and Cassie's first bumpy patch. I hated that she had another guy around her all the time, doing the shit I should be doing. Hanging out with her, cooking for her, taking care of Xavier. I was always skeptical but I never showed it..because I trusted her, and that was all I needed.

There was a knock on my door that interrupted my thought. I furrowed my eyebrows and got up, looking through the peephole to see Terry. I rolled my eyes.
"What are you doing here?"

"Sabrina's fucking mad at me." He sighed, walking in and sitting on the adjacent couch.

"For what?"

"I don't even know. I mean, lately I've been calling her and she's been acting dry as fuck. Every time I call her out on, she gets mad and says she has something to do."

"Yeah you did something man." I sighed, sitting across from him.

He rolled his eyes.
"How about you and Cassie?"

I chuckled.
"Her old friend Michael moved back to Boston so they've been spending time together, a lot of fucking time."

He raised an eyebrow.
"You don't think-"

"Nah, I just..I don't like her being around a guy that much like I understand he's your friend, but every day I call you, you're with him or were with him. He's hanging out with your son, he's cooking for you.."

"Woah..cooking for her?"

"Exactly! I've only met him once, and she swears their just friends but it's weird."

He shrugged.
"Cassie doesn't seem like that type of woman to pull any bullshit like that, so don't worry about it..yet."

I sighed and nodded.
"I'm sure it's nothing."

He nodded.
"Yeah, no sweat."

My phone started ringing and I answered it, seeing that Sasha was calling.

"Imma head out. I'll see you in the morning bro." Terry sighed, dapping me up.

I nodded.
"Sure thing."

"Ky?"

I turned my attention back to the phone.
"Yeah, Hey Sasha."

"Hey." She smiled. "I'm heading back to New Jersey in the morning. You want me to drop Olivia off at Cassie's right?"

I nodded.
"Yeah, Thank you."

"I feel sad leaving her..."

"You'll see her on weekends and we'll have joint holidays. I'm sure she'll miss you too."

She nodded.
"Yeah..how's the trip? When do you get back?"

"It's fine." I shrugged. "I get back in a couple of days though."

"I'm sure Cassie misses you." She chuckled.

I sighed and chuckled, leaning back.
"I don't know about that." I said, letting my emotions spill accidentally.

"What do you mean?"

"Nothing. Nothing. I-"

"Come on tell me. You obviously have something on your mind.."

"Uh, it's just..Cassie has been hanging out with this old friend of hers and he's with her almost every day since he's been there. I just feel weird that he's there with her and Xavier when I'm on the road.."

She nodded.
"Well, I don't know Cassie so I can't give an opinion but go with your gut. If you think she's doing something low then look for the signs. Don't get played Ky."

I nodded.
"Kiss Liv goodnight for me."

She smiled.
"Of course. Goodnight."

"Goodnight.."
