"Give it to me Kyrie." I said, walking towards him.

He walked towards me to, looking down at what I was wearing.
"How bad do you want it?"

"There's a reason I'm here."

"You sure you can handle me?"

"Yes. I'm sure." I said, grabbing the basketball from him and dribbling it down the full basketball court that he had in his backyard.

"Be gentle with that ball. It's practically my baby." He smiled, referring to his childhood basketball which molded perfectly into my hands.

"I'll be sure to keep it safe."

We were playing one on one, and while I'd came over, over an hour ago, we were just now starting to play. He'd paid more attention to the sports bra and sweatpants I was wearing than actually playing the game. This was a normal thing for us now. For the past three months we've been, going out on dates and getting to know each other. When he wasn't at practice and I didn't have work we were with each other 24/7. We were getting a lot closer and I enjoyed every minute of it.
I dribbled the ball down the court, as Kyrie guarded me. His height proved a big advantage, as there was no way I'd be able to make a jump shot without space. I bumped him off a bit, spun around his back, and made a run for the basket, gracing it with a beautiful layup.

Kyrie chuckled and clapped his hands.
"Damn! Momma got moves."

"I told you I did." I said, throwing the ball towards him.

He caught it in his hands and backed up to halfcourt as I took my defensive stance. He slowly dribbled the ball up to me, as I got closer, making sure he couldn't get the space he needed.

He groaned in irritation as I kept my defense perfectly on him. He spun and tried to make a run for the basket, when I blocked his shot.

"Yes!" I cheered, proud of myself for even jumping high enough to block the ball.

Kyrie rolled his eyes and grabbed his own rebound, running behind his three point line, and immediately shooting the ball.

Swish.

It went in smoothly as I grabbed the rebound.
He smiled and walked up to me.
"Can you hit a three like that?" He asked, in a challenging tone.

I scoffed and dribbled the ball to half court.
"Watch and learn Irving."

He smiled and crossed his arms, waiting to see what I was going to do. I looked up at the hoop which seemed a million miles away, and dribbled the ball. I put it in my hands and shot it, praying that it would go in, and swish. Cash money👌🏽

"Damn! I got me a baller." He smiled, walking up to me with the ball.

Xavier was at basketball practice and this was the only time I had been available and Kyrie didn't have practice all week. October had turned out to be a stressful ass month for both me and Kyrie. With his season starting and school in full swing, we had no time to meet up. We called each other constantly and texted constantly, and I was content with that for now.

He leaned down and kissed me, snapping me out of my trance.
"I'm sorry we haven't been able to be together as much as I'd like."

I looked up at him.
"I understand."

"I just don't want you thinking that I don't feel the same or that I'm not trying to make this work because I really like you and-"

I cut him off by kissing him. One thing I had noticed is that he rambled when he was nervous and it was the most adorable thing ever.
"I understand. Your an NBA player, your schedule gets hectic. This is only the beginning. I knew what I was getting into." I chuckled.

"Exactly, we're not even fully into the season. The traveling, the constant practice, not being here it's going to take a toll.."

"You think I'm not ready to have an NBA boyfriend,"

"I'm saying, it's not going to be easy. I just want you to know what your going to be getting yourself into. Not many women can adapt to that."

"Am I just any other attention seeking woman?"

"No. No your not." He said, wrapping his arms around me.

"Who am I?" I asked with a smirk.

He smiled, pulling me closer to him if possible.
"You're Cassie Robinson. Strong mom of 1. Great basketball player. The woman who I lo-." He paused and rephrased. "My woman."

"Exactly." I smiled. "I know what I'm getting myself into. If I didn't, I wouldn't of even given you a chance Irving."

He chuckled.
"Okay. Okay. Well, if your ready then I'm ready."

"Good to know Irving." I said, kissing his lips once more before feeling my phone vibrate in my pockets.
I pulled it out to see my alarm to pick up Xavier from basketball practice. I sighed and pulled away from him.
"I actually have to go pick up Xavier from practice."

"Great, I have to pick up Olivia from dance practice too. Let's go. I can drive you." He said, grabbing his keys.

"Wait babe-" I chuckled.

He paused and turned back.
"What?"

I chuckled again.
"My car is here, how am I going to get it home?"

"Right. I forgot about that."

I smiled and grabbed my own keys, placing them in my pocket.
"I'll see you later okay?"

"Definitely babygirl." He smiled, giving me one last kiss before I walked out the door.
