anna's p.o.v.last night i went to bed with a smile on my face because of obvious reasons. this morning that goofy smile was still on my face as i stretched my body and glanced outside. i sit up as i see droplets of water hit my glass door. my face drops into a frown because today was supposed to be another beach day and i was excited to see harry again.
my feelings for him have grown over the past few days ever since lacie and i had our little chat. they were there before but they've just gotten stronger knowing he might like me in return.
i slip out of bed and put my robe on and walk towards the balcony but not going outside. i look out on the ocean and watch the rain hit the water and the palm trees swaying in the wind. something catches my attention in the corner of my eye though. harry stands on his balcony staring at me and motions for me to come out. i shake my head no and point to the rain that covers the ground. he rolls his eyes and starts to climb his railing.
"harry stop, you're going to hurt yourself!!" i yell as i quickly open the sliding door.
"anything for you love." and he jumps the distance. i scream in fear that he might fall and break something but he lands on his feet.
"harry don't ever do that again! you scared me." i say as i hold my hand to my chest.
"i made it didn't i? so there's nothing to worry about." i stare at him in awe that he would do such a thing. "plus you wouldn't come out and i wanted to see you." and with that he smiles as his dimples pop out to say good morning.
"so i'm guessing no beach today?" i frowned.
"looks like it. but, we could have a movie day."
"i would like that very much." and i pulled him in for a hug, wrapping my arms around his torso. i leant my head on his chest because i'm only five foot two and he's probably a good six feet. we stay there in eachother's embrace just watching the rain for a good five minutes not wanting to let go of eachother, but i started to get a bit chili.
"let's get you inside, you're freezing!" he states and he goes to let go of me.
"no! i'm fine, trust me." i quickly grab his waist back into me not wanting him to go away.
"anna, i can feel you shivering." he chuckles. "c'mon, we can snuggle inside."
"you right, you right." as i reach for the door there's a flash of light followed by a loud boom that fills my ears and i jump, startling harry as well, causing him to grab my waist. "oh my gosh that scared me so much." i say starting to laugh.
"me too, it sounded like it was right next to us." he presumes as his chest heaves up and down as he is still recovering from the fright he just had.
"it could've been. it was probably only about a mile away."
"that's very precise. why do you think it was a mile?" he questions me.
"well, when i was little my dad and i would stay up late and watch thunderstorms. he taught me how to count how far away a lightning strike would be. after you see the flash you count until you hear the thunder. how many seconds it is, is how many miles away it is." i explain.
"that's very cool. very sciencey." his smile is so precious.
"sciencey isn't a word harry." i laugh at him.
"well, it is now." he smirks. "let's go inside."
"you can let go of me harry." i look down to see his strong hands still firmly planted on my waist.
"sorry." and he removes his hands quickly and scratches his neck.
we walked downstairs and i put the kettle on for some tea while harry picked out a movie. on the fridge there was a sticky note that read 'gone to the library, this rainy day is calling my name and i'm LIVING;)'
