Chris almost panicked as he saw the worry on Asa's face. Chris knew that they had been put into a compromising position so he had to think fast. He looked towards the top of the old abandoned warehouse and tried to think of a way to fix this. One of Asa's brothers as well as Davon had gone into the warehouse as if they were just closing the deal. The identified snake was waiting for them on the sixth floor. They were to tell him that Asa wanted to see him before the deal went down. Once he came down, he wouldn't go back up.
Everything was fine until one of the snake's partners became suspicious. Chris and Asa had to stop him from making the call that would possibly end up fatal.
"We have to take them out." Asa announced as the two sat in the unmarked truck waiting for clearance into the gate of the warehouse.
"We need to do it as quickly and quietly as possible." Chris warned knowing there could be men all over the warehouse. He realized if they didn't do this right no one would make it home. As Chris checked the number of bullets in his gun, the gates unlocked and slowly departed from each other. Asa slowly pulled the truck forward before a man a few feet away from them ordered him to stop.
Chris' heartbeat stopped for a quick second as he found himself in a position to kill. He could never feel comfortable with taking another man's life, but it came down to a matter of survival. He had to make sure Davon and Markie, Asa's brother, got out of that warehouse alive.
"When they come up to the doors, blast through the window." Asa commanded as two older looking men walked up from behind the truck. Upon sight, Chris' left index finger quickly slid across the trigger with full force. The hot small piece of metal crashed into the dark tinted window before embedding itself into the head of the unknown man, sending shattered glass, as well as his body, flying. Chris sat stunned from the look on the dead man's face.
"Come on!" Asa said as he got out of the driver's side and quickly took off on foot towards the building with Chris closely behind him. Asa found an entrance on the opposite side of the building and the two quickly made their way to the stair case. Asa's crew knew to hit the warehouse in exactly fifteen minutes so they had that much time to get Davon and Markie out.
Shots from a higher floor caused Asa and Chris to stick closely to the wall.
"Shit." Asa cursed to himself as his pace quicken, taking two stairs at a time.
Stepping up to a concrete gray door with the number 6 painted in red largely across its face. Asa stood with his hand on the long handled and looked at Chris to make sure he was ready. Chris stood back and aimed his gun directly at the door and nodded his head. Swinging the door open, they were met with darkness as well as silence. The building was large as they could hear faint voices from the other side of the floor. Asa and Chris slid behind part of an old wall to view their surroundings. Asa carefully peeked around the corner but could see nothing.
"I can't see shit, we need to move." He announced but Chris had already slid around the corner, with his back hugging the wall. Asa followed suit as they quickly moved towards the other side of the floor. A light came into view and the voices were a little clearer now.
"The hell with that, ain't no compromising. This nigga is about to be dead!"
"Why does it matter?"
"Because I asked you where are you making it the hardest shit to answer?" He complained. "Just answer the damn question.""I have on a skirt and a red shirt that says 'I make stuff up'." She finally answered trying not to laugh.
"See now was that so hard?" He quizzed.
"Cee, shut up!" Bria said smiling against her will. Glad that he could not see her, she shook her head before closing her eyes.
