Cash felt her blood boil when Yani said his name. All the guilt from not protecting Yani from him and all the hatred for him that revolved around him having something to do with Brian's murder came flooding back to her mind. If Rob was out and Chris didn't get him, Cash would.
"You knew about this?" Cash asked looking at Shay. She threw her hands up.
"She didn't want you to know just yet,"
"What the hell does that mean?"
"Money, I knew you would act this way if you found out that he was out of jail," Yani said as her eyes watered. "I didn't want to cause anymore drama."
"Ty's laid up in the hospital now, what drama didn't you want to cause?"
Yani didn't respond.
She almost couldn't even look at her baby sister while she pulled her phone out to call Chris. No answer. She tried AD, but the same response. After she called Corey and Davon and still didn't get an answer, she cussed to herself.
"Shay come on," Cash said standing up.
"Where are you going?" Yani asked watching helplessly.
"You stay here," Shay said as they ran out of the waiting room.
Chris sped down the interstate with Davon in the passenger seat and AD and Corey trailing behind the truck in AD's car. Davon was on the phone with some of their informants, trying to get a location on Kane. Chris didn't have much blood family left, so the fact that someone tried to take Ty out had hit his heart. Kane had to die tonight.
"What's going on?" Chris asked. Davon shook his head.
"The only lead I got is sometimes he goes to the Beano but no one really sees him anywhere else," Davon said. Chris made a quick right on the next exit and looked in his rearview to make sure that AD had taken the same exit.
"Well, we'll start there."
"It's 9 in the morning Chris, the club been closed," Davon said.
"Workers are still there."
Davon shook his head and dropped his phone on the mat. He picked it up but also picked up a small gray bag. He frowned before looking in it. He pulled out a receipt that was dated about two months ago before pulling out a small box.
Davon laughed when he opened the box. Chris looked over a frowned.
"Why you all in mine?"
"I know this ain't what I think it is,"
"Shut up, D," Chris said speeding up a little.
"Why this say two months ago dude, why you got it in the car and not on your lady's finger?"
"Davon can you focus, now is not the time to be discussing this shit," Chris said getting upset.
"B keep talking about Shay walking around the shop talking about getting married and how she think she ain't good enough to be your wife because you ain't put a ring on her finger yet and your punk ass sitting on the ring in the truck," Davon said before smirking. Chris shook his head before snatching the ring box out of Davon's hand. Davon laughed before Chris frowned.
"What she say about she's not good enough to be what?" Chris asked. Davon smirked.
"Chris can you focus," Davon said. Chris' nose flared before he pulled into the parking lot of the club.
AD and Corey stayed outside while Davon and Chris went in. They were stopped by a bouncer coming out but when he saw it was Chris, he moved aside. They made their way to the bar on the second floor. A young looking girl behind it looked up to see them. She cursed to herself and tried to get away.
