Deja stalked through town on foot, looking for a familiar place. With no belongings and no clothes she had to get to someone she knew and fast. She hated that she looked as if she just stepped out of jail. Nobody had to know that by her appearance.

It amazed her how many things had changed since she had been gone. Familiar stores were gone, parks were empty and a few rundown buildings she remembered hanging by were now thriving businesses. Deja didn't care what changed though. She was just happy to be home.

She picked at her knotted braids and almost prayed that Breezey would be the first person she saw so that she could get her hair done. Then she would probably raid Yani's closet if they were still the same size and talk Shay into getting her nails and toes done.

"Always on the grind," she laughed at herself as she ignored the pain in her legs. When the bus dropped her off uptown she didn't think she would be walking as long as she had been.

She didn't mind the walk though. She had plenty of time to think with fresh air. Thinking in jail was nothing like thinking outside. Jail was a depressing place with lots and lots of depressing thoughts.

Deja's mind traveled to the day she went to jail in the first place. Still slightly upset about what went down, she was determined to clear her name. Shay had informed her that nobody blamed her but she felt bad. It was her job to case clients and she had fucked up and left a lot of people hurting.

She had no idea how to explain herself to Cash. Even before the accident, her and Cash weren't the best of friends. Cash would say they tolerated each other. Shay said they were too much alike in a sense that their attitudes were the same. Deja would say that she was too much of a reminder of how Cash used to be. Deja threatened her growth so Cash often voiced her opinion on how Deja acted but Deja would always be Deja.

A few cars rolled by Deja as she turned on the street she hoped still held a familiar house. Deja frowned as one car in particular turned around and pulled up her lips as Corey's face came into view.

"I would have thought they had gotten rid of you by now," Deja said rolling her eyes causing Corey to smirk.

"Shut your homely looking ass up, why aren't you waiting at the bus stop?" he asked as Deja walked around the car and jumped into the passenger seat. Her body sighed as the comfort of the leather seat overtook her. Corey frowned.

"I just felt like walking," Deja answered as she closed her eyes. "I want to sleep."

"Well I'm supposed to be taking you to the shop to get your wig done," Corey said pushing Deja in her head. Deja quickly swung her left arm and smacked Corey in his chest.

"I am not going over there looking like this. You didn't buy me nothing? You knew I was getting out today bastard."

"Watch your mouth," Corey said before pulling a Macy's bag from the backseat. Deja's face lit up as she pulled it open.

"What the hell is this?" Deja asked unfamiliar with the brand.

"A lot has changed since you left, sis." Corey laughed as he turned back around to take Deja to the house so she could take a shower.

"I see, how you say this?" Deja thought the outfit was cute but she wasn't sure what she was about to put on.

"Luxury, it's just spelled different. Yani picked it out." Corey explained. Deja nodded her head in approval as she looked at the shoes as well.

"Her ass is still fascinated with Jordan's I see."

"You know it."

Corey pulled up at the house and AD was sitting on the porch with a phone to his ear. Deja laughed as she saw him.
