Within hours she had her next mission, except this time she wasn't going to be with the winter soldier, he had his own mission to attend to. Instead she was with Pierce, posing as an undercover bodyguard. He supposed a man with a metal arm might bring attention, but a normal teenage girl wouldn't bring as much. She would be posing as Pierce's niece who had "abandonment" issues. That way she would be able to be in the same room with him at all times. Whether or not that's actually how normal teenagers act it didn't matter, she was to be by him at all times. She hated the idea, however she did receive new clothes. Plaid shirts and ripped jeans. She wouldn't define it as an upgrade, at least her old clothes didn't have holes in them....

They were inside a giant skyscraper, standing in Pierce's office that looked out over the rest of the city. Alena marveled at it in the corner as Pierce talked with four other people in the room.Three men and one woman. The girl knew she had to protect Pierce, but she didn't understand why. The room looked completely harmless and this just seemed as if it was a normal discussion. Just then a voice came over the intercom.

"hello, this is Steve Rogers" Steve? Who the hell was Steve? She missed a bit of this mysterious Steve's talking until he mentioned Hydra. "Hydra has infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D., they're all around us, they might even be beside you" As he went on Alena became even more confused. This wasn't hydra's base? Hydra had been hiding inside of S.H.I.E.L.D? How could she be one of the good guys when the people she respected had so many secrets? How could she trust them? Did she trust them? She tried miserably to put this all together. Pierce gave a go at explaining himself to the four other people, clearly they weren't impressed. One man even threw his perfectly poured champagne to the floor, disgusted. Moments later soldiers entered the room. Alena put her guard up remembering her mission, but would she complete it? The woman, who looked quite old and elderly (if Alena had to say herself) suddenly started to fight each and every soldier in the room. Immediately the young girl got to her feet and darted towards the woman attacking her from behind. The woman fell but quickly got up, punching Alena in the stomach. She stumbled but still kept her ground.

"You don't wanna do this kid" The woman mumbled under her breath looking concerned at the child.

"I don't know what I want to do" just then Alena took another punch at her, but the woman caught it and pinned the girl to the ground. Banging her head against the wood so she was briefly knocked out. When Alena grasped enough energy to open her eyes she looked out at the rest of the world. Three gigantic helicarriers were floating up into the sky, thousands of guns aimed and ready to fire. What was happening?

"Disabling the inscription is a tough thing to do, it takes two alpha level members" Peirce's voice sounded unfamiliar to her at this point. She never liked him but he always said he was doing things for the good of humanity. This however didn't look like it.

"Don't worry, company's coming" said the now redheaded woman managing the computer system. Alena turned over and sat up realising that the woman was no longer elderly, and kind of intimidating. Soon a helicopter appeared and landed right outside the glass walled room. Outside of it emerged a dark skinned man with an eyepatch. It was Nicholas Joseph Fury. The man Alena was told to kill. She knew because Hydra had shown a picture of him to her just before her mission. Standing up completely she realised the man's arm was in a sling and he looked all battered and bruised. Had she caused all of that? The redheaded woman looked towards the girl, ready to attack, but Alena didn't move. She didn't know which side she was on anymore.

After being threatened Pierce went up to the screen to give identification. Not even giving another glance in Alena's direction. He had a pretty good idea what was going through her head. Hydra hadn't convinced her enough, hadn't told her that there were going to be many lies and false truths in the air. At this point she was useless to him, she wouldn't be able to obey him, but she wouldn't be able to listen any of the others either. So, after the identification was complete, Pierce went to his backup plan.
