Daybreak shined through the window, drawing Alena out of her dreams. A couple weeks had passed since the soldier and her had moved in and the strange visions were getting more and more frequent. She knew she had two siblings, Pietro and Wanda, both older twins. The need to go and find them burned in her heart every time she thought of them, and yet fear also took its place. She could sense a strong hatred inside them even through the memories. A feeling so convincing it could make the simplest thoughts of common sense and the care for others vanish in an instant. Alena knew it had at one time. She hadn't recalled the moment yet but she was expecting it soon. Why else had they been seperated in the first place?

Once Alena was out of bed and dressed she headed inside the living room where once again the soldier was nowhere to be seen. He had been doing this quite a lot lately and each time he had always returned. Still, Alena couldn't help but worry he had really abandoned her.

She always distracted herself with the outside world. Unlike her cell at the base this apartment actually had a window, and it was three floors above ground instead of below. Her eyes watched as the crowds of people passed. They didn't seem as scary as when she had first been freed weeks ago, but she still prefered to be away from it all. She didn't understand how the soldier could go out there every single day and not hurt somebody by now, but then again, he wasn't Alena. She slumped in her chair, sighing heavily. Her and the soldier were the same in so many ways and yet he could somewhat control himself, why couldn't she? A question for later she supposed.

A new thing she discovered while being in the small space is the TV. Turning it on she started to flick through the channels, each one just as boring as the next. It was either a TV series she hadn't watched the start of or some random guy boasting about some Oxiclean detergent. Only 10.63$!!!!! She had the add burned into her head. Despite the fact she had only figured out the TV yesterday. Stupid Billy Mays.

Eventually she stumbled upon a channel she hadn't seen before, the local Washington news. Even weeks after the event at S.H.I.E.L.D the channel was still broadcasting every detail, including hydra's secrets. A pit began to form in Alena's stomach. Could the government use that information to find her and the soldier? Maybe that's why he left every morning. Next the screen showed both the america man and Barnes falling out of the damaged helicarrier. Catching a glimpse of the colorful shield, Alena squinted pushing back the memories. His name is steve. The thoughts were coming in strong. Soon the show moved on to informing it's viewers that one of hydra's bases was found. Alena recognised the building without a doubt. It was the bank her and the soldier were in weeks ago.

"Alena!" Wanda screamed.

She started to grip the TV remote tightly as the screen showed every inch of the place she once loosely called home. Then the final straw showed itself. On the screen was footage of Alexander Pierce himself lying on the ground, dead. The remote soon found itself thrown with such force that it broke through the TV.

"You sick bastard!" Pietro's voice echoed throughout the hall. It was dark and damp while the walls slowly let in cool air. The bricks were poorly put together.

"Careful what you speak boy, as I can take what you want most in the world away in an instant." A different voice spoke, stern and intimidating.

"You just did" The twins whispered in unison. Alena screamed in the background.

"Are you positive? Revenge on Tony Stark isn't an odd thing to want in this part of the country, except you two may be the only ones who could actually achieve it." With that the protests stopped.

Grocery bags dropped onto the floor bringing Alena back to the present. Turning around she realised it was the soldier who dropped them. The remote was still inside the old TV and there was still glass shards everywhere.

"I-I didn't mean to..." She started but couldn't finish, there were no words for this situation. She could feel every limb in her body shaking with fear and the tears streaming down her face. With every ounce of dignity left she swore to herself she wouldn't break, but she did. Cries shot out of her mouth like wildfire and the soldier rushed to her side keeping her in his arms tightly. Her sobs muffled into his clothing soaking his jacket but he didn't give a damn. All that mattered was calming Alena down, for her sake and everyone else's.

"Please don't leave again" she muttered under her breath.
