I Never Said I was Perfect

Chapter Four

Kylie

"Hey, Kylie. I missed you." Maxon says walking towards me. I run to him and say"I missed you too" All of the sudden we hear a shot and a piercing scream.  I rush to the sound of the scream. I see my mother lying on the floor with a pool of blood. "Mother!" I scream as tears start to fall. Maxon wraps me securely in his arms. "Someone call the ambulance!" Martin screams. One of the guards rush to call the ambulance. They arrive five minutes later. I cry into Maxon's chest as they carry my mother away. I wipe my tears away and drag Maxon to my room. I flop down on the bed with a sigh. He chuckles and gives me and smug smile. I give him a small one back. I kick my heels off and lay on the bed. I pat the open space next to me and Maxon takes a seat. I lay down with my head on Maxon chest and he wraps his arms around me. I fall asleep moments later. "Princess Kylie and Prince Maxon. Please wake up. The news team is here." Sarah says. We get up and Sarah fixes my make up. I slip my heels back on. Maxon takes my hand in his and kisses me on the forehead. We walk downstairs to see the news team. "Your majesty" The news lady says. I nod and hold tighter on to Maxon's hand. "Action!" The camera man calls. "We interrupt this regularly scheduled program for breaking news." This person says. "Queen Kimberly is now in the hospital. Someone shot Queen Kimberly in her home. Now, some words from Princess Kylie" The news lady says. I let go of Maxon's hand and walk over to the camera. "If anyone has anything to do with this. I will make sure my guards hunt you down and kill you!" I scream through tears. Maxon comes and wraps me in hug. The camera shuts off. "Everyone run to safety! The shooter is in the house!" A guard screams. Someone grabs me and Maxon and pulls us away. I remember my bow and arrows in the closet and wrench away from the person grasp and get them. I load the bow and aim for the person with the gun. Shots ring out and I duck behind a corner. I see this opportunity to shoot the guy and do. It hits him right in the temple and he crumbles to the ground. I hear screams. Maxon runs to me and snatches me up. He runs upstairs to my room and ushers me too change. I quickly change into jeans and Sleeping with Sirens shirt and Converses. I throw my hair into a ponytail and we run downstairs. I see a limo waiting out front and we jump in. "Maxon, where are we going I?" I ask completely out of breath. "To the hospital." He says. We arrive fifteen minutes later. We walk in and ask the lady where Queen Kimberly is. "I have some bad news." The lady says. "What are they?" Maxon asks. "Queen Kimberly just passed away." She says.
