Chapter Eighteen

Kylie

I get up to Lucy shaking me. "What?!" I whisper-scream. "You must announce proposal today!" she whisper-screams, not wanting to awake Maxon.

"Why?!" I whine. "Shh, come with me." she says and I moan and walk out of my room with her. We walk to my dressing room with all of my gowns.

Lucy starts looking through the rack. "This!" she says pulling put an coral ball gown. "Coral?" I ask. "Your mother thought you looked good in coral. She hand picked this one out for just this day, when you were to announce your engagement." Lucy explains and I nod.

She quickly helps me put on the beautiful dress. She fixed my hair and curled it. She put nude lipstick, foundation, blush, mascara, eyeliner, and coral eyeshadow. She put some golden colored heels on me.

She pulled out a tiara from a box. It was gold with coral gems. She places it on my head. "Beautiful." Lucy says. I look at myself in a full body mirror.

"Oh. My. God!" I say. I was so beautiful. "Pure beauty." Lucy says. "Let's go tell the world." she says. I sigh and nod. I see Maxon walk out of the door.

His hair was messy and his eyes were half open. "Kylie?" he mumbles. I look at him and smile. "Kylie!" he says but I just ignore him and laugh.

"What are you doing?!" he yells at me, chasing us. I spin around. "You'll see!" I say and walk to the balcony. "Well, you're beautiful!" he says. "THANK YOU!!!" I say and we finally get to the balcony.

"ATTENTION!!!!!" Lucy yells and everyone turns to the balcony. "THERE WILL BE AN ANNOUNCEMENT IN FORTY FIVE MINUTES!!! I REPEAT, FORTY FIVE MINUTES!!!!" she yells at the top of her lungs and everyone nods.

We walk back into the castle. "I'm going to get Maxon and get him ready." Lucy says and I nod. I walk with her to my room where Maxon was still.

"Prince Maxon, come with me!" she says and he gets up. "What is happening?" he asks. "We are announcing it in forty minutes, now." I say.

"Oh!!!" he says and kisses my cheek. He runs off with Lucy to get ready.

I stand in the middle of the palace hallways waiting for Maxon. "25 minutes" Lucy tells me. I nod. Maxon walks down the stairs in a black suit with a coral tie and his crown. When he reaches me, he kisses me on the cheek and takes my hand.

"You look absolutely stunning" He tells me. "Thank you!" I say blushing.

"15 MINUTES" Lucy shouts as she runs around. She only stops five seconds to fix my crown.

"You ready?" Maxon asks me.

"Wait what huh?" I ask

He chuckles and asks, "Are you ready to announce it?"

I nod.

"FIVE MINUTES" Lucy screams running over to me. "Okay, now Maxon will do most of the talking. Got it?" Lucy says.

"Got it" I reply giving her a thumbs up.

"ITS TIME" Lucy screams in my ear and I wince at the loud noise.

Maxon squeezes my hand as Lucy shoves us out onto the balcony doors.

"LADIES AND GENTLEMEN" Lucy screams, "I PRESENT TO YOU, PRINCESS KYLIE, AND PRINCE MAXON"

Everyone down on the ground cheers and I roll my eyes. Clearly, I should be used to all the attention but I'm not and I hate it.

"Ladies and Gentlemen. Kylie and I would like to announce our engagement!" Maxon exclaims.

The people cheer. I stand there blushing.

Maxon turns to me and kisses me.

Everyone cheers louder.

We wave good bye and walk back inside.

"Princess Kylie, there is someone at the door for you" Lucy tells me.

Lucy, Maxon, and I walk to the door.

There was a guy with his back facing us. He looked around 17 or 18.

"May I help you?" I ask the guy.

He turns around and smiles.

"I've missed you Kyles" He says.

Yes it's short, but let's face it. We needed an update. It's also basically a filler chapter.

Hmm you wonder who the guy is? Hah. You have to wait.
