I Never Said I was Perfect

Chapter Fifteen

Maxon

As I head towards the kitchen I hear a piercing scream. I run to the kitchen and fling open the door. I look around in the kitchen till I find Kylie laying on the ground barely awake. "Kylie! Some one come here! Now!" I scream.

Maids come running in as I hold the limp Kylie. "WHAT HAPPENED?!" Lucy shrieks. "Her dumb ass father is drunk." I say. "He didn't hit her, did he?" she asks. I nod.

"Call the hospital!" She screams and a maid runs to the telephone. They call them and I pull Kylie's phone from her pocket. I unlock her phone and see it was on Mayslee's  texts.

I call Mayslee.

Mayslee

Hey, you aren't Kylie.

Of course not!

Wait, what's wrong.

Her dad just got drunk and knocked her out.

Death to the son of a bitch!

You mean the old queen?

Sure.

Wow.

What's happening?

They just called the hospital.

Ima meet you there.

Okay, tell them you are the princess' best friend and Prince Maxon is letting you in.

Will do.

I hear sirens.

I'll be there in around thirty minutes.

Got it, gotta go.

Okay.

She hangs up and I quickly shove her phone back in my pocket. I pick Kylie up bridal style and run to the door and meet the paramedics.

Mayslee

As soon as I hang up I jump up and put on a navy blue flannel, blue jean skinny jeans and cowboy boots. I re-braid my hair as I run down stairs and pull my phone out and text my mom.

Don't worry, I gotta go to the hospital, Princess Kylie.

is all I say and I grab the truck keys and run outside. It was pitch black because we don't have street lights because I live on I farm.

I use my phone as a flash light and find the truck. I unlock it and jump in the truck and start it up. I read out down the dirt road and finally come to the road. I punch it down the road.

I turn the radio to the classic rock station and listen to it as I drive down the road.

I get at the hospital and park my truck. I jump out and lock it. I run full speed to the hospital doors. I swing open the door and run to the front desk.

"Prince Maxon called me about my best friend, Princess Kylie. I will like to see her now." I say. The lady quickly nods. "Here, take this pass. Tell the guards at the door. Room B36, second floor."

I nod. "Thank you." and I run down the hall to the elevators. I quickly press the up button and the doors open. I press's the number 2 and it takes me up to the floor.

As soon as it opens I run out. I see a sign that says, B1-B50 left. I quickly run to the left. I find the number and see guards. "Who are you?" they say and stand in front of the door. I show them the pass and they let me in.

Maxon was at the side of the hospital bed, holding her hand. Kylie was in shrubs and hooked up to a heart monitor.

"Hey." I say and run by her side. "She's gonna be okay. Doctors are shooting medicine in her." Maxon says and I nod. "Wait, lemme call Lexi." I say and walk to the restroom that was in the room.

I tap on her name and call her. I few seconds later she picks up. "Hey, Mays. What's up?" she asks. "Lexi, Kylie's in the hospital." I say.

"Shit, what happened?!" she asks alarmingly. "Her dad got drunk and hurt her, I'm at the hospital right now. I think she would like your company." I say.

"Shit." Is all she says. "What?" I ask. "My parents took all the car keys and hid them cause I snuck out the other night..." she says.

"Well, duck!" I say. "Yeah." she says. "Wake your parents up and tell them that the princess is your best friend and needs you!" I say.

"They won't believe me!" she says. "Duck. Well, high jack it!" I say. "Wait, I know where the motorcycle keys are, they keep them in the garage. I will be there in like fifteen." she says. "Got it!" I say and hang up.

I walk out of the bathroom. "She's coming." I tell Maxon he nods. "Hey, they have Starbucks, you want some?" I ask. "Oh, yes please. Here, I will pay." he says.

"Nah, it's fine. Just a gift to the prince." I say and now just for laughs. "You're weird." he says. "I know." I say and walk out of the room.

I get Maxon the one he got when we all went to Starbucks and me a nd I get a hot chocolate. "Thanks." I tell the lady and walk out off the store.

As I'm walking back to the room I see Cole's older sister, Paisley, walking dressed in scrubs. "Pase!" I say and get her attention.

"Mays!!!" she says and walks up and hugs me. "Why are you here?" she asks. "Princess Kylie is here." I say. "Oh, I know. Other nurses, y'know." she says and I nod.

"But why are you here?" she asks. "I'm Kylie's best friend." I say. "Really?! Wow, and hmmmm.... I heard you and Cole are going out tomorrow night." she says, wiggling her eyebrows.

I blush and nod. "Well, I gotta go run this test." she says holding up samples of blood. I nod and tell her bye and walk back down the hall.
