The next morning Alec got up really early. He couldn't sleep for most of the night.

The thought that kept him awake all night was that he will gonna have to face and talk to Mr. Magnus Bane alone in his office today. Alec couldn't stop thinking about the possibilities.

No matter how much he tried to convince himself the situation won't be that bad, the more it felt like fooling himself. So he kept practising inside his head how he was gonna act in front of him.

And that took away most of the night. And Alec couldn't sleep properly and felt really tired & exhausted as he made his way towards his bathroom.

He and his younger sister, Isabelle share an apartment just a few streets away from their college campus. Their parents are mostly away on their work and always travelling. So they barely visit. As in never. But it was how Alec and Izzy learnt to grow up.

Alec got ready and walked into the kitchen to pick up a bottle of juice. Judging by the state of it, his sister was already up and left. Usually she doesn't leave so early but maybe it was because Alec wasn't talking to her since yesterday's incident and she wanted to avoid the awkwardness.

15 minutes later Alec pulled up into the campus parking lot. People waved to him as he walked past. Some even chatted a bit. Underhill, another one of his friends came bouncing up and down. He looked really excited.

"What's up?" Alec asked.

"Dude, you won't believe this! The biggest thing happened! I just scored two tickets to the basketball game tomorrow night!!" He shouted in excitement.

"Wow!" Alec laughed, "Now how did that happen?"

"You know this kid from Accounting? Raj?"

"Yeah.."

"Well, he gave me the tickets. He invited me to watch with him. He said I could bring a friend!" Underhill explained.

"Wait wait! I never thought Raj was into you!" Alec furrowed his eyebrows.

"Oh he is not! I mean I think so! He doesn't look like to be gay!"

"Who knows! Who knows!" Alec cocked his eyebrows and laughed.

His friend blushed.

So, apparently the fact that Alec Lightwood was gay was not something everybody knew. Only Underhill who was gay himself, Isabelle and Jace know. Not that it was a taboo in the campus but Alec was just not ready for everyone to know.

Underhill slipped his arm around Alec's shoulder and started to speak, "So I was thinking maybe you could-"

"No!" Alec shoved his arm away and faced him with a serious face, "No...no no no no...no way!"
