Chapter 21

Alexis’ P.O.V

It was half past two in the afternoon and I had been doing nothing but sitting my stupid ass in bed and crying like a little baby. I couldn’t do better, could I? I was nothing but a piece of crap like he said, he was right, always was. But for sure I would never let him know that. In all those things he liked to call me, there was only two that he got right, virgin and a crap. That was all I was. Oh, and useless of course. Since when have I became so weak and sorry for myself? I wasn’t like that, never was. Well, sometime ago I kinda got myself in a similar situation but it was different, very different. I had a reason for that, I had a freaking point. Maybe that point was coming back, maybe my stupid and annoying weakness was returning and I could do nothing to stop it.

“Alexis!” I suddenly jumped a bit scared when my brother knocked on my door calling my name. I was so distracted in my own thoughts that I actually forgot he was home too.

“Yes?” I asked cleaning my throat so he wouldn’t noticed I had been crying.

“Someone left a letter for you under the door.” He announced and I raised my eyebrows. What? A letter? For me? Who the hell would send me a letter?

“A Letter? From who?”

“How the hell would I know? It just says ‘Alexis’ on it. I didn’t open it, my name isn’t Alexis.” He joked on the other side of the door.

“How funny!” I said ironically, cleaned my so red eyes with my fingertips and opened the door “Give it to me!” I ordered extending my hand to Michael so he would give me the so mysterious letter.

“What? I didn’t bring it upstairs.” He affirmed smirking. He couldn’t be serious, could he? “What? I’m not your slave or anything. You have feet and hands, go get it yourself.” And with that he entered in his room. That son of a bi… Sorry mum!

I quickly ran downstairs and found the letter above the living room’s little table. He wasn’t lying, there was actually a letter directed to me.

Alexis.” Said the wait paper I had in hands. I was really curious to open that letter and see what was inside it but I was also a bit scared. Who could it be from? Maybe it was Ashton’s! No, but that wasn’t his handwriting, not even close to it. I wasn’t actually recognizing that handwriting, it was pretty messed up and ugly, definitely a guy’s handwriting.

I finally opened it and read what was inside.

“Need to talk to you about what happened earlier. Meet me at the other edge of the beach in half an hour.

      Luke xx”

I confess the letter fell from my hands as soon as I noticed who it was from. Luke sent me a letter? That freaking jerk sent me a letter? And he wanted to talk about what happened earlier… I wondered what he meant with that because a bunch of things happened earlier.

I wasn’t sure how long the letter was there for, so probably the half hour was that time already. I wasn’t even thinking about what I was doing, I just did. I ran upstairs to grab my phone, putted it inside my short’s back pocket and quickly left my house.

It was a quiet afternoon although there was loads of people in the beach. Especially groups of teenage friends, most of them were probably my age. I had never had something like that, I mean, a group of friends which goes everywhere all together and party all the time. My one and only friend was always Ashton, would always be. Ashton, my boy, I missed him so much, I missed spending the whole day with him doing surf competitions or PlayStation ones with my brother sometimes. I really needed to talk to him since I hadn’t done it after the stupid show my father did by sending him away from me.
