Chapter 35

Luke’s P.O.V

More than angry, frustrated, lost and completely confused I was worried. It had been a week, a freaking whole week since I last saw daddy’s girl and that was actually getting me preoccupied. I mean, it wasn’t just the fact she had never knocked or somehow ended up appearing at my door, it wasn’t just the fact she didn’t even bothered me again, it was also the fact that I didn’t even saw her once anywhere during that whole time.

I had been going to surf every single day just right after I had bought my morning drugs and then I would always go to that freaking bar. Once or twice I would hear that Calum dude talk about her with his friend and it seemed like they were pretty close right now, I mean, him and Alexis. But then, I would never see her, anywhere. She was nowhere to be seen. And her house was just next door with that bar.

It was really frustrating, irritating and I was the only one asking, wishing she would never bother me again. Of course I had never meant that, I would never meant that when somehow, inside, all I wanted was to be next to her, to be near her, that so annoying and irritating daddy’s girl. I couldn’t deny it, I couldn’t even deny anymore that I was already too attached on her.

And it was one week, not a day or two, it was one whole freaking week without her, without seeing that so innocent but yet so pretty face, one whole week without feeling her soft skin, one whole week without yelling at each other or just saying weird things.

I was either getting totally insane or something else I didn’t even wanted to think about, something I had never experienced. But I couldn’t, I refused to accept that. But if so, if that reason, that so scary reason wasn’t the main reason then why the hell was I making my way towards her house?

I didn’t really knew, all I knew was that at that exact moment I was moving my hand towards the door so I could knock. I was sure her father wasn’t home, I knew he was probably at the surf’s school, at least back in time when I was his student he used to spend the whole time in the school.

Just when I was about to knock on the door, somebody opened it inside scaring me making me step back.

“Oh, hi!” Alexis’ brother greeted me a bit surprise.

“Hi. Is your sister home?” I asked without hesitation.

“Erm…yes.” He answered raising an eyebrow at me and I only felt like punching him in the face. I hated when people did that at me. But of course I didn’t punch him.

“Can I…can I talk to her?” I asked not really so sure if I should.

“Hum…” He moaned and looked inside the house, then he looked back at me “Okay. She’s upstairs at her room, first door on the right. You’re lucky my father’s not home.” He affirmed and I that time I was the one raising my eyebrow at him. But I simply nodded and he gave me space so I could enter inside their house. I looked around. It was a simple but big house. “I’m leaving now. Don’t steal anything please.” He asked and left without even giving me time to think about what he had just said. Me? Stealing something? Yeah, sure. Like I had no money to buy what the hell I wanted.

Then and there I carefully got on the stairs and walk up. I was getting nervous and anxious. I wasn’t any sure of what I was going to say, if I was even going to say anything.

As soon as I got on the top of the stairs and turned the right, I saw her door. I stopped and simply stand still there. I took a deep breath and without even knocking I opened the door.

Just like me with what I saw when I entered her room, she got scared and surprised quickly throwing the cigarette she had in hands on the floor and stepping onto it.
