"Dude!" "You were awesome today!" Kaito shouted, a little too close for comfort. "Thanks. It was really nothing." I told him. We walked back to his apartment. "Look, you even made the local newspaper!" He pointed at the large text on the paper. The headline read, "Man saves woman from robbers." I smiled. "I've always wanted to be in the newspaper." I chuckled. "Well I'm not feeling well, so I'm gonna go to bed." "You're going to sleep so early." Kaito said. "I'm just tired is all." I said back. I laid down on my air mattress, almost passing out. I felt weak. I saw visions of dragons and spiders and other unexplainable things, though I didn't know what they meant. I woke up a few hours later, dazed and confused. I walked through the door to see Kaito, watching TV. "I'm going to head out." I said. "Just going for a drink." "Be careful." Kaito warned. "Don't drink too much." "I won't." I told him. That was another lie I told him. I wasn't actually going drinking. I was going to think about what was happening to me, why I felt so weird. I walked around town for a bit. I came to a stop in an alley to rest. As I walked through I noticed a spiderweb in the crook of the two buildings. I rested my head on the wall and placed my foot there as well. Then I accidentally let go of the wall. To my surprise, instead of falling forward on my face, my feet stuck to the wall. "What the hell?" I wondered. I had an idea. I faced the wall and started to climb, and amazingly, I stuck to the wall like it was nothing. This newfound power of mine amazed me, and I was itching to test out what else I could do. I finally reached the top of the building after some climbing. I saw a crane arm extended, working on construction. That's where I got the idea to try and see if I could shoot webs like a spider. I tilted my hand but to my disappointment nothing happened. I tried many different combinations, but none of them worked. Only when I tried touching my palm with my middle finger and ring finger did a thin strand of web shoot from my wrist. "Holy shit." I muttered. I aimed my hand towards the crane arm, shot the web and grabbed onto it before it flew away. I was about to do the craziest thing I'd ever do. "Geronimo." I said as I stepped off the edge of the building and swung from the strand of web. I was terrified, though I didn't scream as not to alarm anyone nearby. I promptly crashed into a billboard before letting go and falling onto the roof of a building. I went home. "Kaito, I swear I remember that girl I saved." "From somewhere, but I don't know where I remember it from." "I don't know, maybe you do." "Maybe you've just seen her around before." Kaito told me. I knew I had to find that girl. The next day I gobbled up my breakfast and told Kaito that I was going on a walk. I walked down the streets of Tokyo, hoping that I would somehow find her out of the millions of people living there. "This is futile." I thought to myself. My search was almost over when a young teen, maybe 21, ran out of a jewelry store with a necklace in hand. "Stop that man!" The shops owner was shouting. The man stopped for a second, looked me in the eyes, and handed me the necklace. "Have fun, sucker." He ran away. I looked to my left and I saw police running towards me. I started running like nobody's business. I turned a corner, ahead of the police by a couple minutes, and ran in to a car park so I could lose them. I ran up the ramp, narrowly dodging a car. I ran down the parking lot, not knowing where I was actually going. Then I saw her out of the corner of my eye. The girl! I stopped. The cops were far behind me. "Hey! Aren't you the girl I saved from the robbers in the alleyway?" I asked. "Yes I am." She replied. "Look, I gotta go, but can I talk to you later?" I asked her. "Here, just take my number." She said. She handed me a crumpled piece of paper with a phone number on it. "Why are you running?" She asked. "It's a long story, I'll call and tell you about it." I replied, running from the oncoming policemen. I kept running forward. I was running out of parking lot. Then I had an idea. I placed my foot on the low concrete wall put in front of the parking spaces and I jumped from the car park. As the policemen gasped in awe at my feat of bravery, I looked down and saw a long fall. I quickly looked to the next building I saw and shot a web at it, grabbing it and swinging to the next building. This became an easy getaway in future situations. I web-swung back to the jewelry store, gave the necklace back, explained that I'd apprehended the convict, and then swung home. I was glad no one saw my face. "I'm going to need a mask or something." I thought to myself. When I got home I instantaneously grabbed the phone and dialed the number from the piece of paper. It rung three times and then someone picked up. "Hello?" The voice sounded sad. "Hey, it's me, the guy from the car park." I said. "Oh hello." The voice said. "What's your name?" The girl asked me. "Yuuto." I told her. I could tell she gasped. "I'm Tohru." She said. Then it all came back to me.
