Everything came back to me then. I remembered just about everything about my life before I was frozen in the ice. I was a 21 year old living in Japan, who fell in love with a dragon girl named Tohru. I didn't have a place to stay so Tohru told me I could stay with her. She was a maid, and she lived in her master, Miss Kobayashi's apartment. I lived there with her, Miss Kobayashi, and the rest of Tohru's friends and became a superhero under the name Spider-Man and helped the city of Tokyo. Then one day, Tohru's father came to take her away. I wasn't having that. I told him I would fight him, even though I knew full well that his power was greater than mine. He teleported us to a large flat stretch of ice in Antarctica, a good place to battle, and we fought. I was on the verge of death, when he grabbed me and slammed me into the ice. It cracked and sent me into the water beneath. Fortunately for me, my body was frozen, preserving it for 60 years. I'm sure Tohru could manage against her dad. I sure as hell couldn't. All of that realization coming to me made me dizzy. "God.." "I've really been frozen for 60 years." I muttered. Then I heard a voice from the phone calling me. Tohru's voice. "Yuuto, Yuuto!" She called. "Oh, sorry," I said. "I dozed off a little." "You always did need more sleep." She giggled. That laugh was so cute I couldn't help but laugh too. "So anyway I need you to come over now." She asked me. "You remember the apartment, right?" "Know it like the back of my hand." I replied. "Ok." She said. "Well get going." "Can't you web sling to get here faster?" "Yeah, but Spider-Man is currently wanted by the police." I said. "Just hurry." She demanded. "And don't get into any trouble." "Ok. Love you. Bye." I told her as I hung up the phone. I started to run. As I sped through the door I told Kaito, "I'm going out again!" "Be careful." is all he said back. I ran to the balcony of our apartment and jumped off with speed. I shot a web onto a nearby building, and grabbed it. I swung forward to the next building, and shot a web at it. This went on for a while, because I had to find my way back to Miss Kobayashi's house. Once I passed between two large buildings, I saw a police helicopter. I had nowhere else to go, so I webbed the landing gear and swung from that. Besides the mild shake I caused in the helicopter, the policemen inside didn't notice me. "Close call." I thought to myself. There wasn't any buildings around I could swing from, so I landed on the roof of a small shop. I jumped down and a woman looked me in the face. After a good while of looking, she realized who was standing before her. "Police! This is the jewelry thief that's wanted!" I sprinted towards Miss Kobayashi's house. I could see it in the distance. About a quarter mile behind me, a squad of about 5 police gathered behind me. I ran faster. I rounded the corner of the building closest to Miss Kobayashi's, and ran into the alleyway. I climbed up the wall, but once I got to the top, I perched there. I saw the clueless police walk into the alley, but not think to look up. When they left and went the other way, I jumped from the building's wall to the roof of Miss Kobayashi's apartment. I jumped down from the roof onto the balcony, right infront of the apartment I'd been missing from for 60 years. "Hello?" I knocked. The door slowly creaked open as I saw Tohru come through it, looking solemn. "Ay Tor, why the long face?" I asked, trying to cheer her up. She quickly looked up at me and her frown turned into a smile. She hugged my neck. We both held each other for awhile. Then I said, "I love you, Tohru. I'm sorry I've been gone so long." She was crying tears of joy. "It's okay. You're here now and that's what matters." She said under muffled breaths. I held her hand as we walked inside. Together. For the first time in 60 years. She sat me down on the couch. "Miss Kobayashi is dying." She said. I gasped. "And I thought you would want to be here with us." She told me. I couldn't believe it. Miss Kobayashi used to be only 9 years older than me. Now she's dying, and I'm still young? I had so many questions. Tohru started to cry again. I held her, doing my best to comfort her. "Come on." She said. "I want to be with her before she passes." I respected her wishes and followed her. We entered Miss Kobayashi's room. Her gray hair surprised me. The last time I'd seen her it'd been orange. She gasped. "Yuuto.... I thought you were dead." She said slowly. "I was frozen in ice for sixty years." I said. It was sad to see Miss Kobayashi like this. I always thought I would die about the same time as her. She doesn't deserve to see me keep on living. Tohru gripped my hips and hugged on me as she wept. Miss Kobayashi reached out to me. I grasped her hand. It felt cold and frail. "I need to tell you something." She motioned toward me. "Take care of them.." She said softly. Then she laid her head down and passed away. I couldn't believe it. What should've been a sweet reunion only turned to tragedy. I guess that's what I get for being gone for sixty years. Tears rolled down my face, the back of my shirt wet from Tohru's. She gripped me ever tightly. I finally let go of Miss Kobayashi's limp, lifeless hand. I tried to get free of Tohru's grip so I could properly hug her. I turned around and held her head to my chest, my shirt quickly getting soaked from her tears. I stroked her golden hair, trying to comfort her the best I could. "It's okay baby. I'm here." I said. "I'm know I'm not much," I tried to smile. "Not even half as good as Miss Kobayashi." "But I'm here for you." She nodded solemnly. We stood there like that for a while, my legs getting tired. When Tohru was finished crying I released her from my embrace and looked her in the eyes. "I love you so much Yuuto." She said softly. She pulled my neck in and our lips locked for a quick kiss. She let me go. As I turned to face the door I realized Kanna was standing there. She'd seen Miss Kobayashi die. She'd seen me and Tohru. "She must be so heartbroken and confused right now." I thought to myself. She looked a considerable bit older. I guess she changed her form as time passed. We locked eyes, Kanna's arms outstretched, desperate for a hug. We hugged shortly and she said through tears, "I thought you were dead." I didn't know what to say there. I just stared into her blue eyes, deep in thought. "We still have you now." Kanna said. "You can be like Miss Kobayashi and guide us through the human world." "I guess I will." I said. I slowly walked out of the room. "What would you like for dinner, Yuuto?" Tohru asked, the sadness in her voice ever present. "Make whatever you want." I said. "I need time to think about everything. Hell, you can make omurice if you want to." I said trying to encourage her. She smiled a bit and told me she was going to buy ingredients. "Bye." I said. She slowly waved at me as she walked out the door, looking more depressed than ever. The door to me and Tohru's old room creaked open slowly. I laid down on the bed that I hadn't felt in sixty years. The only thing missing is Tohru. I thought things over. Too much had happened. Just as I was going to close my eyes, Kanna walked into the room. I looked over at her for a few seconds. "Sleep well Mr Yuuto." She said. "You don't have to call me that. Just call me Yuuto." I said as she closed the door and I dozed off.
