Tohru stared at me dejectedly. The bags carrying various groceries dropped to the floor. I glanced in her direction. Everything in my body was numb. I had trouble breathing. I didn't want to get up. Tohru walked over to where I was lying and sat down next to me. She stared up at the ceiling, much like I was. "Oh Yuuto." She sighed. "What happened this time..." I gulped. I didn't know if she would accept what happened. I tried to play it off. "Well, Iruru just kinda came in, and we fought, and then... this happened." I told her, tears steadily falling down my cheeks. I slowly pointed at the large gash in my chest. She stared at it for a second. She started to cry as well. "I just want you to be safe.." She said through sobs. "It's all my fault. Associating you with the dragon world. If you didn't know me... you would be living a normal human life, happy, and safe." She wept. I mustered up the courage to speak. My lungs ached. "But I am happy doing this. I love being Spider-Man, I love helping people, and most of all, I get to live with you guys. You guys are the only reason I'm not sad and alone in some one room apartment, wasting my life away." I looked at Tohru. "Now I have someone to fight for, and to live for." I let out a deep breath. Tohru hugged my neck. I could feel the tears dripping onto my legs. Elma walked over to where we were lying and sat down next to me. She was in tears as well. "I'm sorry you had to go through that." She said once more. She laid her head on my shoulder. Her tears rolled down my chest and into the gash. It stung. Then out of the corner of my eye I noticed Kanna slowly open her bedroom door. She looked surprised to see us all crying. She sat down with us. She glanced at me and the gash in my chest. Then without a word she laid her head down on my thigh. I didn't have a problem with any of this, I was just glad I wasn't dead. I realized Tohru was asleep. I couldn't get up now. I sighed. I looked to my left at Elma's head, resting on my shoulder. She really was thankful that she had somewhere to stay, and someone that truly cares about dragons. Her head popped up and we locked eyes. "T-Thank you. For everything..." She said in between sobs. "You've given so much to me. A place to stay. Food.." She smiled at this. This promptly made me smile too. "And most of all.. you really care. You care about me.. and all the other dragons. You love us all." Elma and I stared into each others eyes for what must've been the longest time. Then Elma did the unexpected. She lunged forward and locked her lips around mine. We shared a passionate kiss. Our lips parted. "Thank you... for everything." She said. "I love you." I thought about it for a second. "I love you too Elma." After a few more seconds, she laid her head back on my shoulder. That's when I fell asleep. I slept there for a few hours. It was a much needed rest. My brain was wild with thoughts. I didn't know what to make of what had happened earlier. My eyes slowly opened. I glanced to my left and saw Elma, fast asleep on my shoulder. I looked down and saw Kanna, fast asleep on my thigh. But Tohru was no longer by my side. I looked around for her. I couldn't find her. I decided to get up and look for her. Something else I noticed was the absence of Iruru's corpse. Maybe Tohru had done something with it. I slowly lifted Elma's head off my shoulder and laid it down softly. I did the same with Kanna. Carefully stepping over their sleeping bodies, I walked into the living room. I noticed something on the kitchen table. I went closer to investigate. What I saw before me was a brand new Spider-Man suit, with a note attached. I picked up the note. It read: "Go get em' Tiger - Tohru" A smile stretched its way across my face. I picked up the mask and stared into its eyes. It reminded me of the many times I had donned this mask, and all the people I've helped. Then I felt a hand on my shoulder. "I made it just for you." It was Tohru's voice. I turned around. Tohru pulled me into her embrace. "Thank you." I said. She looked into my eyes. "Japan needs you. You give them hope. Because you're Spider-Man." I let go of her. I stared at the mask again. "They need me." I said. Tohru smiled. I slipped the suit on first, and then I put the mask on. "The guy who's manufacturing those crazy weapons those guys who were robbing the bank were using is going to be leaving on a boat out of the Port of Tokyo. He's going to sell more of those weapons to people. I can't let them get out in the world, in the hands of criminals." I told Tohru. She nodded. "Well then go stop them. But please don't get hurt. We're running out of bandages." She said. "I can't make that a promise." I laughed a little. I started to walk towards the sliding glass doors. I turned once more. Tohru did a thumbs up. Elma looked at me in my brand new suit. "Good luck. Be safe." She smiled at me. I turned around, swinging the back doors open and leaping off the balcony. I swung through the air, trying to reach the port of Tokyo before something went bad. Swinging past a building, I webbed a police helicopter. Using it's landing gear as momentum, I flew through the air and stuck to the side of a nearby building. I could see the Port of Tokyo from there. And the boat was leaving. I started to climb the building. Once I reached the top, I jumped to the roof of another building. There was a pointed steeple at the top. The boat was close enough. I jumped off the building, rapidly descending towards the ground. Before I could hit the ground, I was tackled by something I couldn't figure out what it was. He threw me down onto the ground. Once I came to my senses, I realized I was on the boat. I saw what had hit me. It was a man in some sort of wing suit. He was flying. "Get em boys." He said. My spider senses went off. I quickly looked to my left just in time to dodge an incoming laser beam. I looked at the man. He had some kind of weapon similar to the one I saw with those bank robbers. And I sure didn't wanna get disintegrated by it. I shot two webs at the gun and disarmed the man. I then webbed him,, pulling him to me. I swiftly punched him in the face, knocking him out. Then I saw two or three more men pointing handguns at me. "Put your hands up! You are under arrest. It was the cops. I remained still. "If you don't surrender we will shoot!" One screamed. I didn't move. The lead policeman pulled the trigger. I jumped off of the pole I was hanging from. The bullet ricocheted off the pole and hit the alien looking weapon. It's purple core began to light up, flashing violently. It then sent a large beam of light which sliced through the entire boat. The boat was now in two halves, which were rapidly sinking. "I need to get out of here!" I said to myself. I didn't know where to turn. We were too far away from land. I decided to try to destroy the weapon first. I shot a web at it and pulled it to my hands. I grasped it. It was hot. I ran to the edge of the rapidly sinking boat. As soon as I was about to throw the weapon off of the side, it exploded. The impact from the blast sent me flying into the water. I was unconscious. I slowly sank to the bottom, no hope of surviving. Until something grabbed me, and rocketed me to shore. It laid me down. I sat up, and coughed out water through my mask. When I was done, I looked up at the figure. It was Iron-Man. Tony Stark. "Long time no see eh?" I said, through deep breaths. "Kid look, how are you still alive?" He said. His helmet came back and revealed his face. He looked older. "Uhh well, I was kinda frozen in ice for sixty years after fighting an enraged dragon dad." I said. "Oh yeah, your crazy girlfriend who is also a dragon. So you and her dad had a fight, huh?" He asked. "Yeah, and he would've killed me if I hadn't been frozen in ice." I told him. "But more importantly, how are you alive?" I asked. "Life extending machine I invented." He told me. "Amazing what kinda tech they have nowadays." "Yeah." I said. "Anyways, I'm pretty sure you can handle yourself now, so I'll be leaving. But don't get into anything else you can't do on your own." He said. I watched him fly into the air using his suit's rocket boosters. After 20 minutes, I was home. Tohru was washing the dishes, and Elma was eating again. Kanna was playing on the phone that I had got her for Christmas. I mean she was a teenager in human years. I threw my mask to the floor. I rubbed my eyes. Elma glanced at me. "Oh my gosh, Yuuto, you're wet, and dripping everywhere!" She said. She ran and got me a towel. "I uh, had a boat accident." I said. I looked at Tohru. I had done my job. I had stopped the criminals. But the mysterious man in the wing suit was still on the loose.
