-Five Months Later-
"Ava, come on!" I yell as I rush through the streets of the city.
"I'm coming!" She runs behind me as I wave for a taxi. Prom is hours away, and of course we are running late to our makeup and hair appointment. The hot sun beats down on our skin as we impatiently wait for a taxi to stop in front of us.
"It's not my fault you forgot to set your alarm this morning." I groan as I continue to wave my hands up.
"I'm sorry!" She stomps her feet with a sigh. "I was making sure the boys got to their hotel okay, they got in late last night."
A yellow taxi saves the day and pulls up next to us. Without answering her, I immediately get into the back seat and slide in. Ava gets in next to me and shuts the door. I give the man the address, and tell him to step on it.
"We still have time to look perfect." She says with a hopeful attitude. "I told Anthony to meet us at our apartment around four, since the limo is coming at six. We're going to be taking pictures for a long time, especially since Christopher hired the photographer."
"What time is Danny coming?" I ask as I eagerly keep my eyes on the road.
"Christopher told me he's coming with him at four." She casually shrugs with a smirk. "He's really excited."
"This is a huge night in high school history." I laugh and look back at her. "And we're finally graduating tomorrow."
"I still have so much stuff to pack." She places her hand on her forehead. "I can't believe Christopher has his suitcase ready before me."
"It's because he isn't staying the whole summer." I roll my eyes in disappointment. "I guess that's what happens when your hot new boyfriend offers to bring you to Paris on his family's private jet."
"Come on, just be happy for our little boy." Ava playfully hits my arm. "He's finally happy and in love."
"Just like you." I giggle.
"I'm not in love." She continues to hit my arm.
"I don't believe you for a second." I laugh. "You and Anthony are totally in the honeymoon stage, and you aren't even official yet."
"You're just jealous cause you and Grayson will be dating for a year next month and you guys are like an old married couple."
"There's nothing wrong with that." I chuckle as the taxi pulls up to the salon. I hand him his tip and grab onto Ava's hand. We rush into the building to let the prom glamor begin.
Over the past five months, a lot has happened. Grayson ended up getting a scholarship along with his acceptance to FAU. The college was very impressed with his essay and SAT results, he pulled a perfect score and made his way to the honor roll his last few months of school.
Anthony got accepted into the community college in town, he is also taking a full internship at the Delray Police Department to pursue his career in becoming a police officer. They both graduated last month and my father told me it was a really nice ceremony. I wish I was able to attend it. Ava likes to say she isn't head over heels in love with Anthony, but that's a lie. They talked every day since he left here in January. They still aren't dating, but their late night FaceTime calls tell me otherwise.
Our little Christopher is finally in a relationship. He met his boyfriend, Danny, three months ago in a cafe in Manhattan. It was love at first sight and they have been together ever since. He's really sweet and the perfect match for Christopher. He's ironically going to Brown as well, so it looks like they will be together for awhile.
