He look at me with perspiration dripping down his face he immediately stopped and walked towards me.

"Get out of this library right now!" Yelled the Liberian.

"Can't you see I'm hurt you old bitch I can't move that quick give me a minute." Eric replied slowly moving off the table.

"Jordan I'm sorry I-." I cut Eric off.

"

"No Eric I'm tired of your shit just leave me alone you always gotta do some dumb shit." I walked out of the library.

"You Aight?" Tupac asked walking after me.

"Yeah." I replied sadly.

"Look I apologize for hitting you friend I thought he was hurting you." He jogged up next to me.

"It's okay He was way out of line plus he needed his ass beat." I chuckled.

"Well I don't think they're going to let us in library no more." He laughing.

"Yeah I guess so." I reply laughing to.

"So do you wanna get somethin to eat or?" He asked.

I gave him a look.

"It's not a date trust me I'm not in to that right now I'm just hungry so I thought I'll offer you." He replied calmly.

My face soften at his words feeling somewhat bad I really needed to work on my guard. I can't let what Christopher did to me hold me back from other men. But I can't let my guard down I let my guard down for Eric and look what happened.

"I'm sorry I thought you was tryna spit game like all these niggas ." I responded.

"I'm not like all these niggas." He replied confidently with a laugh.

"I see."

"Well I don't want you to just see I want you to know." He says with a deep voice.

"So um . . . What did you have in mind?" I asked changing the subject.

"I was thinking Burger King or something." He responded with a smile.

"Aight."

"Damn your burger nasty as Fuck not tryna judge you or nothing." I frown at the sight of it.

"Ain't nothing wrong with mine at least it ain't plain like yours you might as well eat bread." He responses with a full mouth.

"Shut up I got pickles, onions, and ketchup my shit ain't plain." I replied dying of laughter.

"Yeah keep lying to yourself." He joked.

I waved him off and continued eating.

"You know I haven't had much fun since I got here until I met you." He while taking a small sip of his drink.

"Really? We didn't really do anything fun." I responded.

"I know but since I been here it's been nothing but work but since you came it's been. A lot of fun because my brother is always with some hoe and I haven't met many people."

I nodded processing his words.

"So what about you?" He asked while biting a fry.

"I haven't had much fun since I been here but I do love the change of scenery here to be honest I grew very glum to Brooklyn." I answered.

"Why would you be so glum to Brooklyn? I mean I here they got the best pizza out." He joked.

I giggled.

"It's not just about the pizza even though it's great it's that I spent my whole life in Brooklyn before I came here all the pain & heartbreak I went through happened in Brooklyn all the Bullshit happened there so for right now I just wanna be far away from there as possible and start a new life with new
people." I replied.

"So can I be one of those new people?" He asked with a smile.

Before I could reply a girl approached us

"Hey baby." The girl from this morning walked up to Tupac.

His smile quickly faded as he looked her way.

"What do you want Aaliyah?" He asked rudely as he took a sip of his drink.

"Well I was a little hungry so I decided to stop by and get something to eat now is that so wrong baby?" She asked sitting next to him .

"Nah it's cool . . But if you wanted to eat why you come over here then?" He says tuning his attention towards his food.

"When I came in here I saw you and just decide to stop by you know." She replied completely ignoring me.

I laughed lightly as I watched the scene unfold.

She turned her attention towards me and scoffed.

"What's so fuckin funny tar baby?" She asked with an attitude.

I sighed deeply and began to speak.

"It's nothing you wouldn't get it." I replied smoothly as I took a bite of my fry.

"Try me." She replied with an amusing smirk.

"Well it's just you're trying so hard to get him that it's so pathetic how you have to show off your ass & tits to get someone to notice you." I replied simply.

She laughed loudly.

"Look at this oil slick wanna talk shit about the pretty ones."

"All you have is words about what? How my skin is darker then yours to be honest that's all you have to say because beyond my skin tone I am beautiful in every way possible it's really sad how your standards of beauty is physical & European while mine is inner beauty and yes I must agree you're very beautiful. . . Physically but on the inside you are truly ugly in every way imaginable." I replied confidently

I looked over at Tupac who started at me in awe.

I smiled warmly avoiding eye contact with him.

She quickly got up stomping out of the restaurant angrily.
