Not given to wine, no striker, not greedy of filthy lucre; but patient, not a brawler, not covetous; - 1st Timothy 3:3
Modesty 11:12pm
"Modesty"
My moms stood there with bags in her hand. My heart dropped looking at her standing like she was finna piss herself.
"Who is it?" I ignored Chris who approached me and latched onto my waist. To my luck he didn't have a shirt on.
"O-Oh I'm sorry I didn't know you were.." She was tripping over every word that came out her mouth. It was becoming irritating, but I tried not to tell her to fuck off and listen to what she wanted first.
"No, I'm interrupting" Chris said about to walk away when I grabbed his hand so he wouldn't leave me. "No.. I think I'm interrupting.. But I wanted to see you before I leave for the bus station" She said to me and my heart for some reason ached. Her face was wet with rain and tears
"I fucked up Modesty I really did.. with your father... with you and I'm sorry" She said through her crying. "This isn't how I wanted to apologize to you but I can't stay here anymore"
I was blinking trying not to cry, show any kind of sympathy after what she'd done to me. She wipes her face sighing "But I.. I gotta go before I miss my bus. I'm sorry to disturb you" She nodded and waved , She was about to walk away and I was about to let her when-
"Hey wait.." Chris speaks up.
"What the hell is you doing--" He cuts me off "Why don't you stay, Its raining and driving from here you're gonna miss the bus anyway"
She looked at me starring down Chris like I was gonna choke him at any moment. "I-I don't think that's a good Idea sweetie--"
"Its fine.. I promise" He looks down at me. I look back at her seeing if it was eally okay wit me. At this point I could say no. I motioned her to come in. Once she got in, I eyed Chris "Don't be like that.."
I rolled my eyes leaving him at the door and instead going to my room. I slammed the door behind me finding myself about to cry. I threw shit ,punched shit until I was actually crying, more than I'm used to.

Christopher 12:06am
"Are you sure shes okay in there, she's not making much noise anymore" Her mom says laying down on the couch with the blankets covering her.
"She's alright , we just had a long day" I reassure her leaving what we did today out of it. She nodded. "Okay, well thank you.. and it was nice meeting you Chris"
I smiled lightly then leaving her be. I lightly knocked on the door of Modei's room "Ay ... Modei open the door .. We can talk about this in the morning I just wanna sleep" I say. After not getting a response I opened the door finding her sleeping on the edge of the bed with some of my stuff thrown everywhere on the floor. Her feet still down, I figured she had been sitting there.
I shut the door behind me I walked over to her and picked her up. I laid her down on the side she usually slept on. I laid down on the other side then pulling her to me I kissed her face. "I'm sorry" I mumbled. Hopefully things would be better in the morning
