And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. -Ephesians 6:4

August 12pm

3 Days later and I'm finally able to go home, I still not able to move around like I used to for a few days, but at least I could be in my bed. The unfortunate part is that these streets have been hot since the shit went down on campus, They had to be counting the days til I got out of here, and I'm ready for whatever they finna throw at me.

"I'm finna pull up, be ready nigga " Donte said. "Yeah Ight" I told him. As I hung up with him there was a small knock and in appeared my mom, who hasn't left yet, she still hasn't gotten the picture I didn't want to see her.

"Almost ready to go ?" She asked me. Ignoring her I continued to pack my stuff. I heard her sigh "Alright I get it" She says. "Its been a while since you've seen me--" "what the fuck is this you tryna pull? Fuck all that bullshit you finna say when you shoulda said it 8 years ago" I scoffed.

"I wanted to see you, I really did--" "You ain't gotta lie to me" I chuckled. "You've done enough already so please just leave me alone" I zip up my bag and sling it over my shoulder with my crutch in my other arm. I began to walk towards the door, almost walking out she starts her pity story. "I didn't leave because I didn't love you, I left because Your father didn't love me.. I wanted to keep you.. I'm serious I did, I would never have left you, but your grandma hated me, she made sure your father got full custody with no visiting rights for me. I'd call every day just to hear you playing in the background until your dad hung up on me" She says.

I shook my head continuing to leave. She stops me again "I was a prostitute when your dad met me" I turn to her. "He might not have wanted you to know but he was a client of mine... and he wasn't expecting to have you, or fall in love with me.You were a surprise to both of us and we both agreed that you were the best thing that came out of our relationship" She smiles lightly. I leaned against the door with my head down.
