Modesty ~3rd Person~

"Daddy" Modesty sang excitedly reaching out for her fathers arms

"Baby doll" Manny picks up his 4 year old baby girl in his arms, She wasn't much of a baby anymore, but she was and always would be his baby.

"How was your day?" He asked her. "The usual, Same old, same old, We did math just like the otha' day, it's boring" she groaned

"Math ain't boring, daddy uses math all the time while he working"

"You do?" She folded her arms. "Mhm" He nodded "Daddy needs to know how much things cost, how much it would cost to others, that's how I make money to get all your clothes, and your shoes, and your toys" He tickles her making her laugh hysterically.

"I use math for you baby doll" He kisses her cheek.

".. I wish I could come to work with you" Modesty mumbled laying her head on Manny's shoulder. Modesty had no clue, she was too young to ever understand what her father did for her. Something Manny wished he could've explained to her.

To save his only daughters feelings he sighed "I wish you could too baby doll, but daddy's an important business man" She nods disappointingly but brushes it off moments later "You gon still be able to come to the daddy daughter dance with me right?"

"I wouldn't miss it for the world" He hugs his daughter to see her beautiful smile, the only thing he worked for.

Modestys mom stumbled into the door moments later, in her normal sweatshirt and jeans

"Mommy--" Manny pulled Modesty back.

"Oh. Hey baby" Shani greeted her daughter briefly smoking on her cigarette.
