The day was halfway done and it was now time for lunch. Everything had gone pretty good so far. I made some new friends and all the teachers were really friendly. The only person who wasn't as... happy, as we should call it, was that Levi guy. Mrs. Wilson said not to be fooled, though, and I'm not one to judge people by how they act the first time you're around them. I'm sure he's a nice guy, just introverted.

I sat my back pack down at my locker and was about to head down to the cafeteria when I heard someone call my name from behind me. I turned around and saw Eren, Mikasa and Armin rushing over to me. "Do you want to sit with us at lunch today?" Eren asked. "I can introduce you to the everyone."

"Oh, sure." I replied. "Thanks." We then headed to the cafeteria. We got our food trays and they lead me to a people with several others.

"Hey, guys." Eren greeted as we arrived at the table. "Meet Rose."

"Umm, hi." I shyly smiled and waved my hand.

"Hey, Rose! I'm Sasha." A girl with brunette hair said with her mouth full of food. I giggled.

"Hey, it's nice to meet you." A petite blonde girl smiled at me. "I'm Christa." I nodded to her.

"Hey, cutie. The name's Jean Kirchstein." A guy with two-toned hair winked at me. Well, I think he was a guy. He looked more like a... horse?

"Shut it, horseface." Eren remarked.

"You wanna go, Jaeger?!" Jean stood up.

"Bring it on!" Eren was about to charge at him until Mikasa held him back. He took a deep breath and calmed down. He then pointed to everyone else at the table, telling their name. "This is Connie, Marco and Ymir. Over at that table is Annie, Reiner and Bertholdt. They sometimes hang out with us but not all the time."

"Oh, okay." I smiled at him. "That's cool."

"So where did you come from, Rose?" Christa asked me.

"Oklahoma." I answered. "My dad got transferred because of his job and we moved here."

"Well we're glad you're here." She gave me a closed-eye smile.

"Thanks." I smiled back.

"So why Titan High?" Connie asked me.

"Well it's close to our new house and my little brother's elementary school." I said.

"Awwe, you have a little brother?" Sasha asked. I nodded.

"Yep. He's six." I said. "His name is Vincent." I pulled out my phone to show them a picture of me and Vincent at a recent birthday party. Several "awwe"s went around the table as they saw how cute he was.

For the remainder of lunch we continued talking and getting to know each other. They were really nice and welcoming, each having their own personality. I was really enjoying them. However, I felt as if someone was watching me the whole time.

Levi's POV

Tch, why is she hanging out with all those brats? I sat at my lunch table watching Rose. I didn't mean to be a stalker or anything but there was just something about her. She was a bit shy but really sweet and funny. Not to mention absolutely beautiful. She had gorgeous (H/C) hair and amazing (E/C) eyes. I felt like I could get lost in them.

"Whatcha staring at, shorty?" Hanji asked from beside me.

"Tch, none of your business." I said back. "And I told you not to call me that."

"Awwe don't be so grumpy." She said and pinched my cheek. I quickly slapped her hand away and glared at her. "Rose won't like you if you act like that." She winked at me.

My eyes widened a bit in shock and I felt a little blush creep onto my cheeks. I looked down at my food, picking at it. "It's not like that." I muttered quietly.

"Yet." Hanji elbowed me.

"At least admit she's beautiful, Levi." Eyebrows (aka. Erwin) said from the other side of me.

"Tch, yes, she's beautiful. Now please leave it alone." I said.

"Fine, fine." Erwin chuckled and went back to his own food. Finally.

Rose's POV

The lunch bell rang and we all got up to go to class. I was in a really good mood because I feel like all my worries of not fitting in here just washed away with my new group of friends.

I made it to my locker and got out my books for my last three classes of the day. I shut my locker door but saw someone on the other side of it. Levi.

"O-oh, hey, Levi." I smiled at him. "Do you need something?"

"I just wanted to say that I'm sorry about being grumpy this morning." He said. Wait... did he just apologize? "I'm not much of a morning person." I giggled.

"Don't worry, I'm not either." I replied. "And I didn't think any bad of you."

"Thanks." He said quietly.

"So are we friends now?" I asked, hopeful. I knew he was a good guy.

"Yeah." He replied and gave me a small smile. I happily returned it. "Well I'll see you later."

He was walking away when I called back out to him. He turned around. "What is it?" He asked.

"You should really smile more." I said. "It suits you." He lightly blushed and looked down. Awwwe. He nodded and turned back around to walk away. I smiled to myself and carried on with my day, happy with my new group of friends.
