Chapter 21 ~ Roses

The following Monday we were all back to our normal routine. We were all currently in one of our homerooms exchanging pictures from the trip. "Rose check out this picture from the haunted house!" Sasha said and shoved her phone in my face.

"Ugh..." I commented as I saw the picture. It was a picture taken at the scariest moment of the haunted house. That was when I decided to jump onto Levi in fear, basically giving him a front-facing piggy back ride.

"Or this one where we were up all night and Hanji went into a sugar coma." Connie laughed and speak of the devil.

"Hey guys, guess what!" Hanji ran into our homeroom, running over a few  poor freshman.

"Don't yell." Levi grumbled beside me.

"The end of this month is prom time!" She squealed. "The juniors are planning it this year and I heard it's an under the sea theme!"

"Ooh, us girls should go shopping this weekend together to get our dresses." Christa smiled.

"Yeah, let's totally go!" Sasha said.

Prom? I've never been to a prom before. I wonder if Levi will ask me...

"Well I gotta go to my class now, I'll see you later." Levi said and got up. He then bent down and gave me a small peck on the lips. They was a simultaneous "awwe" that went around our group of friends. "Shut up." He grumbled and walked out. We giggled and got ready for class to start.

Time skip

It was now Thursday and I was beginning to worry. People had already started to get prom dates and Levi still hasn't asked me. I know it can take him a little time with stuff like this, but I hope he asks me soon.

As for everybody else, Sasha and Connie were going "just as friends", Mikasa almost immediately asked Eren, and Reiner told me he was planning to ask Christa during half-time at tomorrow's football game since he was the lead quarter back.

Anyways, I pulled my car up to the school and headed inside. I walked down the hallway with my usual smile on and went to my locker. When I opened my locker, however, there was a single pink rose sticking up from between two of my notebooks.

What? Who is this from?

"Hey, sweetie." Someone said as they stopped at my locker. It was Levi.

"Hey." I said, still a bit confused.

"What's wrong?" He questioned and I pointed to the inside of my locker. "Who gave that to you?"

"I don't know." I shrugged and picked it up. "It's pretty, though."

"Well I don't know either. I'll see you after class." He said and began to walk away. What if this is from him, though?

"Wait! Levi-" I called out to him.

"Bye~" He waved and continued to walk away.

That shorty...

I sighed and walked to homeroom. I opened up my notebook and found another rose but this time it was red.

"Ooh, somebody's got a secret admirer~" Eren sung when he saw the rose. I sighed again in confusion and shrugged my shoulders.

What's going on?

Time skip

Throughout the school day I kept finding random pink and red roses anywhere I went. There was even one on my lunch tray. In all I had found eleven. Don't get me wrong, I loved the roses and was very flattered, I just didn't know if they would be leading up to something or not.

It was now the end of the day and I was at my locker to put my books away. I opened my locker and guess what was there. Another rose. A red one. But this one had a note attached to it. "Meet me in the courtyard" it said with fairly familiar handwriting. Isn't this Levi's?

My heart was thumping a little fast as I made my way down to the courtyard in front of the school. It was a pretty day outside with a slight breeze in the air.

I stood in the middle of the courtyard with all twelve of the roses. Nobody was around. "Hello?" I said.

Levi then walked out from behind one of the big trees dressed in black dress pants and a white button up shirt. He was also wearing a red tie that matched the red roses.

"Hey, Levi." I smiled at him.

"Hey." He slightly smiled back. "I see you found all of my roses." I knew it!

"So all these were from you?" I asked and he nodded. "Why though? You normally aren't the super romantic type."

"Because Rose." He took my hands in his and started to blush a little. "I-I was, u-um..." He stuttered and looked away. So cute. I rubbed his hands and looked into his eyes, urging him to continue. "I was wondering if you wanted to go to prom with me."

By now my heart was racing and I had a huge smile on my face. I was so happy. "Yes of course!" I said and gave me a big hug.

"Ah, thank goodness." He sighed in relief and hugged me back. I giggled. "I love you."

"I love you, too." I said and we pulled away and shared a long, sweet and loving kiss. "Thanks for the roses, by the way."

"You're welcome." He smiled a little.

"Awe, so cute!" A voice said from somewhere near by.

"Stop pushing me!" Another said. Pretty soon everybody in our little friend group came tumbling out of a bush and fell into a tangled heap on the ground.

"It was Hanji's idea!" Sasha tried to say but it didn't help Levi's whole facial expression from darkening.

"Run." Was all he said before all chaos let loose. I laughed and ran after them.
