"Alright guys, we only have a couple months of school left, so make sure you're getting in your college applications and such." Mrs. Wilson announced in homeroom.
What? College? Sure, I've already been accepted into a couple of colleges but I still don't know for sure what I want to do for the rest of my life, and that's a scary thought.
"I think I'm gonna join the military!" Eren said confidently.
"Pfft, you? That's a nice one." Jean snickered.
"You wanna go, Kirchstein-" Eren started.
"Eren." Mikasa said calmly and Eren settled back down and pouted.
"So what about you, Armin?" He grumbled.
"I think I'm gonna go to Harvard up north. I really want to be a great scientist one day." He said bashfully. "What about you, Mikasa?"
"I'm joining the military, too." She said. Of course.
"I'm going to major in culinary arts." Sasha smiled.
"Yeah right, you'd just eat all the food." Connie said.
"Would not." She retorted. "What about you, Rose?" She caught me off guard.
"Oh, u-um..." I looked down at the floor. "I don't really know for sure, to be honest..."
"Well don't stress it. You'll figure it out." Eren said encouragingly. I nodded and gave a small smile. I hope so.
Time skip
After school Levi and I decided to hang out and go on a date. We were at a small diner in town and I still couldn't get what we talked about earlier out of my head. I... I don't know what I want to do...
"What's wrong?" Levi snapped me out of my thoughts. "You've been zoning out for a while now." I sighed.
"Levi have you... given any thought to the future?" I asked him. "Like, once we've graduated."
"Some." He responded. "I'm still choosing between a couple careers, though." I nodded. "Why?"
"I don't know." I answered honestly and looked down. "I don't really know what I want to do with the rest of my life. I don't know if I'm ready to make that kind of decision."
"Just give it some thought and pick something that you won't dread every day." He shrugged. Well yeah but it's still a big decision.
"I don't know... I'm just a little scared." I said softly.
"Well you got me, and I'm always here if you need to talk." He grabbed my hand and looked into my eyes. Somehow he always manages to put at least a small smile on my face.
"Thanks, Levi." I responded and went back to my food.
