Chapter Four·When we plan to
I don't know what to do. I couldn't tell the Schuylers what was happening but I wanted to. I told one person. "I don't know what to do, Anna!" I told my sister. She was the only one from my family who was alive other than Lucy. They were hiding down the street from Monticello.
"Your boyfriend's a zombie. How do we know he wont turn against all of you?" She asked making me pause. "What?" "Think about it. You find your zombie boyfriend after...how many months? Close to a year. He's back and he's planning on using people's emotions and energy? That's messed up." She told me. What if she was right?
"But what if he isn't gonna kill them?" Lucy asked from the stairs. "What'll happen then? There might be a chance Alex can be human again! It isn't that hard to-" "He's a zombie! There is no way he has good intentions-" "What do you know?! You've never even met Alex-" "But He's a fucking zombie!" The screaming went back and forth between the two as I sighed. "Shut up...Just shut up!" I yelled making them stop and stare at me. "I'm...I'm not going to yell the Schuylers.." "What- Thomas-" "No! I love him. I'm just not gonna help him." By this point we were all panting. Screaming was something we hadn't done in a while.
"So that's it, huh? Your just gonna let him get to them?" "..." I said nothing as I didn't know what to. "I have to go." I said and left their house. I sighed and walked back to Monticello. Everyone was huddled inside and I could see Alexander saying goodbye. "Bye Tommy." He purred and kissed me on the cheek before leaving. I smiled and looked at everyone.
More specifically, the schuyler sisters.
They were huddled together and talked quietly. I smiled and looked over every couple. I was close to everyone in one way or another. Madison, The schuylers and Maria we're like siblings. George, Lad, and Freddy were parents. Aaron and Laurens were the weird Uncles. What would happen if I lost my family?
They have stuck by my side since the beginning. Would I really give that up for my Zombie boyfriend? I regretted reading the Journal in that moment.
