Jax
I can't believe I confessed what I've been feeling for her. Something about Emma is different than the other girls. I have to go about this the right way with her. I couldn't afford to lose her.
The rest of the school day flew by pretty quickly after my confession. Every time I was close to her or asked for her attention, she'd blush shyly. Today is the day for our fro-yo date. I asked Emma yesterday and she agreed!
(Flash forward to Jax getting ready)
I ran my fingers through my jet black hair one more time as I looked in the mirror. I think I look pretty good, I thought to myself. I checked the time on my iPhone 8+ and noticed it read 3:35. I rubbed my hands together and hoped this goes like I plan.
I walk to Emma's door and knock three times. She opened the door, smiling at me. "Hey, Jax." She blushed, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. I finally glanced over her apparel. She wore a purple sweater that read, 'Perfectly Imperfect' with some blue jeans. She looked beautiful. "You look beautiful." I smiled sincerely at her. Emma seemed to awe me even in the most simplest and casual clothes.
"Shall we?" She teased before I nodded, giving her my arm. Emma closed the door before accepting my arm, allowing me to lead her down the staircase. "Are you excited?" Emma smiled before nodding, "Excited, nervous, terrified.. I'm feeling a lot of emotions right now." I smiled at her, rubbing my thumb gently across her hand, "Don't be nervous."
Flash forward to the date.
Emma and I walk into The 7 and we immediately hear my teammates arguing about who's the best swimmer. "Hey, Jax. What's up? Please tell these idiots I'm the best swimmer on the team." I rolled my eyes at them teasingly, putting my hands up in defense, "Leave me out of this. But, everybody this Emma. She's joining us for fro-yo today."
Emma smiled and waved at everyone who was surprisingly being polite to her. I lead her to a table, pulling her chair out for her. "Thank you." She muttered shyly. "So, Emma.. are you coming to our next meet?" She blushed before shrugging her shoulders, "I don't know when the next meet is. But, I'll be glad to come if that's okay with Jax." She smiled at me, tucking locks behind her ear.
I grinned at her back, "Of course. I'll let you know when the next meet is."
And just like that, I knew Emma Alonso was going to take me on the most craziest rollercoaster I've ever been on.
