I wanna try and create a little bromance between my character Liam and Peter, hopefully it turns out the way I want it to :)
We both left the base, I had an idea where I wanted to go but that was before Wanda volunteered Peter to tag along. We walked on the side walk
"Where are we going?" Peter asked me again
"I'm not really sure I just wanted to get out of that place, you got anything in mind?"
"Well do you want to do something fun?"
"Sure, why not" I said
"Okay then, let's go play some Lazer tag"
"Lazer tag? Alright parker, but the loser buys food afterwards" I smirked
"You're on" he smiled at me
(2 hours later)
We got done with a few games of Lazer tag and I ended up losing pretty bad so I had to pay, we went to a close fast food restaurant, ate and began heading back
"hey peter" I said
"Yeah?" He put his hands in his pockets
"Did I make a good choice on staying" I looked at him
"What do you mean?"
"I mean this life of heroes and villains, I saw wanted a normal life and to go to college and I feel like I won't get that being with shield and stuff"
"I get that, but they recruited me and I'm still going to school. I somehow managed to balance the two, I'm sure you can too" he gave me a small smile
When we were almost back at the base we heard someone screaming
"What's that" Peter said behind me
"I don't know but lets go see" I responded
Of course the scream came from an alleyway, how original. We entered the alley and saw 4 men trying to mug a woman
"Hey! Leave her alone" I yelled and they all looked at me
"Get lost kid unless you want to get your ass beat" he grinned at me which made me frown, they turned around and continued what they were doing
I rolled my eyes "I said get away from her" I put a bit more base in my tone
"Okay kid, you asked for this" two men came after me, I simply used my telekinesis and sent him flying across the alley
The second man looked at me in horror but didn't stop running at me, I looked into his mind and created an illusion he couldn't escape. Only I could break it, I smiled proudly not realizing that there were still two other guys and before I knew it I was on the ground right next to peter. I heard the sound of a bullet fly past me a few seconds later
"Liam, are you okay?" He asked
"Yeah, what happened?" I was confused because it happened so fast
"You almost got shot, if I hadn't pulled you back then-" didn't finish his sentence, but I knew what he was going to say. I sat back and watched peter take out the other thugs.
I got up and walked over to the woman "are you okay ma'am?"
she nodded and smiled "who are you?" She asked
"I'm nobody, stay safe" I smiled and jogged out of the alley with Peter right behind me
"You did great for your first time Liam" peter squeezed my shoulder
"Thanks" I fixed my hair
We got back to the base and we're immediately overwhelmed with worry coming from Wanda
"Where were you guys, do you know how late it is?" She folded her arms and raised her eyebrow
I looked at my phone and checked the time "it's only 11:30" I protested
"And almost midnight, you have to get ready for tomorrow" she smiled
"What's tomorrow?" I said. I wasn't looking forward to the answer she was about to give me
"You start training tomorrow. I was assigned to help you control your Psionic powers" she crossed her arms and smiled
"Thanks Wanda, for everything you've done so far" I smiled
"Come here, I want to show you something"
I walked closer to her, she put her palm on my forehead and the room vanished
I saw memories of Wanda and her past. Her and her brother growing up together, the death of her parents, when she was experimented on, when she fought ultron. The worst memory was the death of her beloved brother. Shot multiple times by a jet, I saw her break down in tears.
I opened my eyes and was back in the base, Wanda took a step back. I hadn't realized that tears were escaping from my eyes, so I wiped them away
"Wanda I'm so sorry, I didn't realize-" she cut me off
"It's okay Liam, I showed you that because I want you to know that I feel your pain of loss. I want you to know that you're not alone and that you have someone to talk to about anything" she wiped tears from her eyes
I didn't know what else to say so I hugged her "I wish I could have met him" I said
"He would probably treat you like the little brother he never had" she laughed and I laughed with her
"Get some sleep Liam" I nodded in response. I turned around to go to my room, I had completely forgotten that peter was standing the whole time
"Dude!" I said
"What?" He looked at me
"Why were you standing there the whole time?" I continued to walk to my room
"I was going to leave, but I didn't want to interrupt that touching moment you guys had" I laughed when he said that
"Parker, you sure are something" he laughed
"I know, I'll see ya later bro" he walked off
"Yeah" I yelled so he could hear
I changed my clothes and got into my bed, I looked at the ceiling for awhile before falling to sleep
