Story:
Layla:
I'm tired. The pain on my lower collarbone is easing up, yet fatigue built up throughout my entire body. I decided to take a warm bath to ease up my head. After doing so, I jumped right off to bed and closed my eyes.
Thoughts were brought to my head. "What does this symbol mean?", "What's the connection between the card and the symbol?" and most importantly, "What task do I have to accomplish in one year?"
These three questions are all I need to answer, for me to reveal the secret within the card. I tucked myself in and apparently, after a few seconds, I fell asleep.
In the middle of the night...
"Where am I?" I asked myself. I find my body, standing on the ground. I gaze upon the surroundings. I'm in some sort of convenience store. The counter is just a distance from me. A man in his early twenties is on the counter.
He wears a black-collared and long-sleeved shirt under a blue suit complemented with a blue necktie. He also wears black pants with blue lines running through the sides, black shoes, and a hat similar to a flight attendant or even a bell boy. He has pale skin, and has yellow eyes with white hair, all the way to the back, revealing his forehead.
"Welcome. It's been a while since I have seen a guest, embarking the mark of The Fool." The man said, in a very polite tone. I noticed he's holding some sort of compendium in his right hand. "My name, is William. It's a pleasure to meet your acquaintance, Ms. Fountain" He said to me.
I can't move, yet I can speak. "Where am I?" I asked over my curiosity.
"You are currently inside the phenomenon of which the day before and the day after collide. More like, a hidden period of time that is not recognized by normal humans. We call it...The Arcana Hour." He said to me.
From his words, I can follow him, yet I can't understand what the meaning of the Arcana Hour was. "Let me explain..." William said to me. He started to explain to me what existence of the Arcana Hour was.
"The Arcana Hour only activates once every three years, but is present within the designated year. The Fool, is the card that explores the path of experience, may it be right or wrong and the symbol implanted upon your flesh is a sign that represents yourself as the wielder of The Fool. Now, I mustn't keep you any longer... a minute spent here is an hour in your world..." He said to me.
All those information ran to my head, I understand now. He snapped his finger and everything went black.
I woke up, in my bed, and sat up. "What...?" I asked myself, holding my head, to clear my vision. "What kind of dream was that?" I asked myself and took the silent atmosphere.
I shrugged the memory off of me and stood up from my bed, wore my slippers. I walked up to my drawer and looked at the time, its 6:41 am. I still have half an hour before I go to school. I walked downstairs, and wide-eyed from what I saw.
Seeing my brother eat his breakfast this early, and already at his uniform. I rubbed my eyes a few times to assure what I am seeing. Oh god, am I still dreaming? I guess I'm still tired though. I walked up to the dining table and the same thing all over again.
Dad reading the newspaper with a cup of coffee and toasted bread. Mom spoke up, "Good Morning dear. Here 'ya go." She handed me a plate with a scrambled egg and some veggies, as well as toasted bread with melted butter.
