The Magician, The Magus, or The Juggler (I) is the first trump or Major Arcana card in most traditional Tarot decks. It is used in game playing as well as in divination. In divination it is considered by some to succeed The Fool card, often numbered 0. (Via Wikipedia)
Story:
Layla:
I woke up from my sleep, its 9:12 pm. Oh no! I'm already late for school! Ugh, I haven't even got enough time to catch up. I guess, it's a wise decision to stay at home for the day, still, I'm tired from the long talk with William.
Mom went inside my room. "Oh good. You’re awake. Well, I just checked your temperature a while ago and now it seems you’re okay. You should stay inside the house and take some rest. There's breakfast on the table, and if you need anything else, I'll be over at Ms. Porters." She said. I nodded with a smile and she left.
Whoa, I actually got sick from last night, but... now I feel better. I should probably leave it at that. I got off from bed, and went downstairs, I ate my breakfast while watching the television, not the news, but some shows.
After eating, I cleaned the plate I ate on, and went with my day-off, trying to find the answer inside my question. "Why did I manipulate my focus and ruined my movement, especially not doing the right action?" I ask myself once more with those words.
I turned off the television and went upstairs to continue my research for the answer. I opened my laptop and started to search some keywords that describe The Magician.
It says:
Action — Consciousness — Concentration — Personal power Practicality — Energy — Creativity — Movement Precision — Conviction — Manipulation — Self-confidence Being objective — Focusing — Determination — Initiative
I see... well, it does describe Heron perfectly. He lost his determination, action, movement, self-confidence. And all of those... were regained, by me. The Fool.
I closed my laptop down and put it aside. I took the Magician card from my drawer, it's still the same, and worries are still all over my face, I can't stop thinking of Heron.
I kept the card in my drawer once more, and spent the day all to myself.
I relaxed my mind at first, watching television, playing games. I even cooked my own lunch, I'm not playing cool or anything like mom, but, I guess I am capable of being alone at the house by myself.
It's already 7:02 pm. Wow, time passes by so quickly. Mom text me and she said she's doing some marketing with Ms. Porter and would probably go home by 8:30 pm. I text back saying that it's fine. Dad will come back around 9:00pm and brother is doing his homework with Takeru and Ken.
Someone knocked on the door from the outside, well of course. I looked at the little hole from the door, I can't believe what I'm seeing.
Heron:
After school...
After hearing that Layla's absent today, I felt hurt, I know I was hurt but, I guess I didn't think my whole plan through. Reena walked up to me. "I saw everything..." She said to me.
We were in the library, she just caught me by accident and started to speak up. "What...?" I asked her. "Everything... that happened behind the gym yesterday." She said. Wait... she saw and heard all of those!?
"It's okay... I'm not mad at you for hurting Layla... but even so... don't you think it would be wise for you to apologize by asking it out of the blue? She was afraid of what might happen... she may be a girl but realize that she's also human." She said to me.
