Dating is a part of human mating process whereby two people meet socially for companionship, beyond the level of friendship, or with the aim of each assessing the other's suitability as a partner in an intimate relationship or marriage. It can be a form of courtship consisting of social activities done by the couple. While the term has several meanings, it usually refers to the act of meeting and engaging in some mutually agreed upon social activity in public, together, as a couple.

Story:

Misaki:

I woke up, nervous yet excited. I went downstairs to greet my mother and brother a good morning, so I did. After so, we ate breakfast together. After eating, I thanked her for the food and went upstairs to get ready and take a bath.

After so I dried myself and wore the perfect clothes for a date. A little white dress, a pink blazer and white heels, as well as my purse.

I went downstairs and my mom immediately hugged me when I did. "Watashi no musume wa totemo kawaīdesu!" she blurted out, still hugging me. "A-arigatou ookasan." I said, thanking her.

My brother wasn't surprised to see me of course, and I already got permission from my mom to let me go out. So I did.

I went out and walked towards the convenience store. There I saw Layla wearing a pink shirt, a hat and sunglasses, it's so cute when she's making an effort. But it's kinda weird though, we've known each other for only a couple of week and we've already been acting like best friends.

I have to thank her after the date, and there it goes. I saw Joshua walking up to me, he's wearing blue jeans, black rubber shoes, white undershirt, a red blazer and a federo hat.

He greeted me, "Good Morning." Wow, he does know English. "Good Morning." I greeted back. "I thought that I should do my best in saying English words for you to understand me." He said, smiling.

He-he did that for me? I'm already embarrassed about what's happening. "Thank you." I said, thanking him. We went inside the store to buy ourselves a drink. I bought a bottle of juice and he bought a can of cold coffee.

When we were lining up in the counter, I saw Layla just behind us, she bought a slurpet. After we paid, we went outside, but from what I observed as we got farther, Layla was already with someone, yet I can't seem to know who. Well I'll just ask her after the date.

We went to the town square to have some little fun. There are various stands there as well, such as magic performers, guitar players, and freestyle dancers. Even though Ring Village doesn't have an amusement park, I can see he's having a great time.

We also had ourselves eat lunch at Frore Cafe, Layla suggested me this last night when I texted her. She said that even though there is a scoop of icecream in everything, it's super delicious! So we did.

He ordered the Garlic Prawns, a standard Spaniard Dish, I didn't know they serve that here, well the waitress took note of it anyways. While I ordered the Carbonara Bricecream. "Drinks?" The waitress asked. "Only water, please." Joshua said. "Me too." I said, nodding.

The waitress left, and the silent sanctuary got unto us. I looked around the cafe to see if Layla is inside, she is. There I saw her at the end of the cafe, but at least she can see us. She's with a guy with blue hair, wait, blue hair? The only guy I know with blue hair is Heron Shellock, the magician of the school.

Oh, so she got help from someone inside the convenience store, and I didn't even know that he works there. Hmm, it seems she is having fun as well with Heron, wait... don't tell me! "Is something the matter, Misaki?" Joshua asked. Oh... right. "No, it's nothing. I was just wondering that there are mcuh people here to fill the cafe in the weekends." I said.

"Well the Frore Cafe is popular." He said to me. "Wait, you've been here?" I asked. Oh, now that I see it, we're having a conversation, I have to keep it up until our orders arrive. "Yeah. Mostly with my hermana." He said. I titled my head clueless about the last word. "That means sister. I've been hanging out with my older sister here often." He said, smiling brightly at me.

He's... smiling. I smiled back, the best bright smile I could make. Finally. Our orders came. We took our spoon and fork, and began to eat up. Joshua's reaction is a bit surprising, he's smiling while we eat as well as I.

I rolled the fork under the carbonara and twirled it, took it out, and put it inside my mouth. It's super delicious. When I did the same process I saw a fork with a garlic prawn sticked to it. "Try it." He said, holding it and smiling. "Um, sure." I said. I'm nervous but I have to do it.

I opened my mouth and took it inside. He put away the fork and asked, "How is it?" My eyes widened. It's delicious. I nodded as I munch on the prawn.

After the talk while we eat, we went out and spent the afternoon together having the same routine.

It's already 4:25 pm as we reached the Dust Park, where we can see the beautiful view of the sunset upon the horizon.

"Hey, is it... okay if we go out tomorrow again?" He asked out of the blue while we were sitting on a bench. I tilted my head and had a questioned face while I glanced at him. "...?" He then replied back, "Well, I had such a great time having this 'date' with you and I thought we could do it again... is it... too sudden?" He asked.

"N-not at all. I don't mind." I said, smiling looking at each other as he smiles back at me. I felt my heart throb and go faster at the same time.

After that moment we went to our separate ways towards our own homes...

Outside my house...

"Thank you so much, Layla." I said. "He even invited my tomorrow for another one. I'm so excited." I added. "When you're happy, I'm happy." She replied back.

"I didn't know you got a little help from Heron though." I said. "Well yeah, I kind of dragged him along with me though." She said, wow that would be too harsh on Heron, for a bit. "Yeah... I'm beat about this... I even have to go to work tomorrow for ditching the job." Heron said.

Layla and I chuckled about it. "Well... thank you again, Layla, and Heron." I said as I waved at them and got inside my house. Yet I looked on the window to see if they were still there, they're smiling at each other.

And before I knew it, Layla leaned in... and gave Heron a kiss. OMG! She... kissed Heron! Kyaa! I HAVE to tell Reena about this on Monday first thing in the morning. But for now, I have to eat dinner and go to sleep.

As the saying goes, "One's feelings will always be present to one another, no matter how far they may be." This phrase has known to Layla as well as Misaki. Their friendship has grown, thanks to both of them. Yet Misaki caught Layla kissing Heron, she's shocked by her reaction. More importantly, another date is coming up tomorrow.
