an open letter for boyfriends

Meeting and having you in my life as a best friend, partner and lover was indeed a great and let's say life changing. We've been through a lot. You are my person. You made my world go round with that wonderful love. I am honestly so happy that God has given me someone like you for once in my life. I love you so much.
But if ever..
If ever one day, you get tired and bored with what we have right now, please let me know.
If ever you've already felt like we're not for each other and it's not working anymore, then speak up.
If one day you've already realized that I'm not your apple of the eye anymore, then please.. Tell me. Just tell me.
You don't have to cheat. You don't have to hide anything. You don't have to be afraid to tell me. You don't have to lie. You don't have to make me look like a fool or something. Just tell me. Tell me that you don't want to be with me anymore.
In my prayers every night, you're honestly included. I used to pray for you more than I pray for myself. I love you more than you could imagine. I love you more than words. I love you more than action.
So if ever that "one day" came, please let me know.
Please don't make me think. Please don't make me wonder. Please don't give me anxiety, don't let me overthink.
Through this letter, my man, I want you to know that if ever, one day, you'll leave me.. Please be gentle as you walk away. Don't worry. I will be fine. I will be safe and sound. I will not force myself anymore with you. But please don't think that you're not worth it or I did nothing to fight for you. I just love you this way. I'll let you go not because I don't like you anymore. How can I unlike the person I've prayed for? "If you love them, let them go" they say. If you don't want to be with me anymore, then go. I want you to be happy even though I am not the reason anymore.
A clear, straight, direct and honest explanation will do. You don't have to say sorry. Isn't your choice anyways? Then go. Say sorry to your self instead. You don't have to keep on checking or messaging me. Go and make your self better. Don't worry about me, let me bleed. Let me cry. Let me have my break downs. Again, it's your choice. You could actually have regrets, but I am not telling you to have one then make me know. Like it's my fault.
I think I couldn't have grudges towards you. You were once mine and I have loved you. I owned you once. And after all, maybe I'll still include you in my prayers before sleep? It could stop one night or one day, that I'll no longer pray or think of you. It takes time. So please bear with me. Just go. Keep going, don't think.
You'll still have a very special place in my heart. But I don't believe in second, third or fourth chances honey.
Because if you truly love someone, then why would you hurt them? Why would you leave them? Why would you do a thing that will cause you to say "I am sorry" & "Please forgive me"?
