Z:FOSTER CARE?!

LD: yes, and you would never have to worry about your father.

Z: when are we leaving and where?

LD: well, we're leaving today.

Z:NO! I CANT LEAVE! I have SCHOOL and I have to make sure Quincy's ok!

LD: who's Quincy?

Z: um a friend.

LD: well, I'm sorry. You should start packing.

Z: you never answered my other question about where we're going.

LD: oh my bad, Los Angeles. The family is great I promise.

I was on the verge of tears, Los Angeles? That's so far away! I won't get to see Quincy, or even get to make sure she's ok.  What if something happens to her and I don't know? What if she get seriously hurt? I can't go, I just can't.

Z: I'm not going.

LD: You have to.

Z: NO! I CANT LEAVE! 

LD: calm down! Maybe we could compromise.

Z: how?

LD: well, I know a family that lives here, and maybe they would take you in. That way you could finish school and still be with Quincy?

Z: fine but if they say no, I'm not leaving.

LD: I understand. She said picking up her phone.

Quincy's pov

Leila and I talked for hours and hours. It felt good to talk to someone who doesn't walk away. Yes, I told her about Zach and what happened. She gave me great advice and I'm definitely going to use it. Eventually my mom got home and she talked to Leila. When Leila left she said we had to have a serious talk. 

M: honey, how would you feel if we took in 3 foster kids?

Q: really? Omg mom that's GREAT!

M: you're actually excited?

Q:YES! I love this kinda thing!

M: great! 

Q: when are they coming?

M: today.

Q: OMG THATS EVEN BETTER! Mom I LOVE YOU! I said jumping into her arms.

M: love you to sweetie.

Q: dad would have loved this.

M: I know.

I let go of her and I quickly went upstairs to text Leila and Lauren.
