Zach's pov

Watching Quin pace for an hour wasn't very fun. It was more annoying than entertaining.

Z: will you ever stop? Can't you just sit down for like 5 minuets?

Before she could answer a nurse came out.

N: you might want to sit down for this.

Quin glances at me concerningly.

N: Dean has a rare disease, after multiple test we found out that he has what's known as Hurlers syndrome.

Q: w-what's that?

N: it's when is a genetic metabolic disorder that prevents the body from breaking down long chains of sugar molecules, because of a missing enzyme. Without it, the sugar will build up in the body and damage internal organs.

Q: is it treatable?

N:yes, with IV enzyme replacement therapy. It works most of the time.

Z: and if it doesn't?

N: he might pass.

Q: how soon can he get the IV.

N: his first dose will be given to him as soon as you sign this paper. It just goes over the protocols  the amount and price.

Z: price? I asked taking the clipboard from her.

She nodded as I looked down at the paper.

Z: Quin we can't afford this.

Q: how much?

Z: a hundred per dose.

Q: how many doses will he need?

N: it depends on how his body responds to the fluids.

Q: Zach we have to. We can't loose him.

Z: I know but,

Q: I'll work extra shifts.

Z: you need to be with them.

Q: Matthew said he's help.

Z: your positive?

Q: yes.
