"Ready for school Babe" Jughead called to Betty from the kitchen. It was the Monday after prom and everything was good and well.
"Yeah, I'm coming." Betty called. Jughead stood in the kitchen and fiddled with his new key ring on his set of keys. It was a silver heart with a letter B on it above an infinity sign and the letter J below the sign. The heart opened up and inside were two pictures, one was of Betty and one was of the ultrasound picture. Betty had brought the key ring for him and he had put the pictures in.He put the keys in his pocket and smiled as his beautiful angel appeared.
"Let's go my princesses." Jughead smiled holding his hand out for Betty.

They walked hand in hand towards the meeting spot where they saw Toni, Sweet Pea and Fangs all waiting.
"Hey girls, boy." Toni laughed.
"Hey T" Betty giggled. It was pretty hot so Betty was wearing a tan mini skirt and a rolled up white shirt with a few pins on the collar tucked into the skirt and pulled out slightly.
"Looking adorable momma." Toni acknowledged.
"Thanks T." Betty grinned.

That day after lunch the gang had Gym,
they  filed into the separated locker rooms and began getting ready.

"Hey Jones, Congrats dude on the baby girl. I still can't believe Betty's pregnant." Reggie said in the boys locker room.
"It came as a shock to all of us, believe me." Jughead whispered under his breath.
"How did it feel, screwing the perfect girl. I bet it was amazing, I would do it too. Her blonde hair sweating and flowing, her wanting more and more, I bet your name was the only word she knew afterwards." Reggie teased. Jughead who was facing the other way, curled up his fists and flared his nostrils.
"He better shut the fuck up about Betty." Jughead muttered to Sweet Pea. Fangs and Kevin.
"Jug, don't react. He's just a jerk." Sweet Pea reassured.
"I bet if it were me, she would still be only able to chant my name."
"Shut the hell up Reggie." Jughead snarled, turning to face the pig
"Or what?" Reggie retorted. Jughead eased his mind and turned back around walking away from the angry, manipulative, idiotic boy.
"Say Jughead, you hyping this whole thing up to Betty is total Bullshit, right? I mean as soon as that baby's born you'll be just like your dad was. Dead-beat, alcoholic dad. You'll soon push Betty away with baby. That baby will grow up with no father and will have daddy issues. Her mom will be depressed and lonely, so your daughter will end up just like how you and Betty did. She'll be knocked up at 16 by a random boy, because that's the only love she could find and Betty probably high on some drug while screwing a different guy in the bar each night." Reggie provoked. Jughead snapped as he heard the awful words being spat out of Reggie's mouth. He strode over to Reggie and grabbed his shirt. He pushed Reggie onto the cloak stands and held him tight.
"Shut the hell up about my daughter and my girlfriend." Jughead roared.
"What are you gonna do about it?" Reggie warned. He held Reggie tighter and shook him vigorously.
"Jughead let him go!" Kevin trembled.
Jughead went to swing but his keys fell out of his pocket and the key ring Betty had given him opened as it fell to the floor...

The girls were getting changed when they heard yelling from next door.
"What is that?" Cheryl said.
"Probably Archie and Reggie arguing about whose has better abs?" Toni laughed. They listened carefully and heard Kevin say "Jughead let him go."
Betty's heart dropped and tears began to fall down her face. He promised her he wouldn't do this anymore. He promised. Betty wiped a mascara filled tear from her cheek and ran out of the room, she stood outside the boys locker room with more tears running down her face...

Jughead looked down at the picture of Betty and the picture of the ultrasound he picked it up and let go of Reggie. He stormed out of the room holding onto the heart and saw Betty centimetres away from him.
"Betty I-" He began but Betty walked away to the lockers on the other side of the hall. She leant against one and stared at him, tears filling her eyes.
"You promised Jug." She said quietly.
"I know but he was saying things about me, you, about the baby." Jughead apologised, stroking her cheek and she pushed his hands off of her face.
"I don't care Jughead, people will say things- look at us, pregnant in high school people will say things that aren't true, you need to learn how to react better. They can say things about me all they want, I don't care they're just people Jug. You promised me, you told me that you wouldn't get into fights because you could get arrested- you know Serpents get done around here for any excuse the cops have- then you'll be taken away from us. But you still broke that promise, do you not care about us? Maybe people are right, maybe all your hype is bullshit." Betty accused.
"It's not baby. Of course I care about you and her, your my girlfriend, she's my daughter, you're everything to me."
"Well if I was everything too you, you wouldn't break your promises."
"What was I supposed to do, listen to all the shit he was saying about you?" He barked.
"You were supposed to think and be a good father!" She wept, his face dropped and the anger turned to pure pain and sorrow.
"You know how hard I'm trying for this baby, who hasn't even been born. You know how much I'm trying to do the opposite of what my dad and yet You still don't think I'm a good father."
"Maybe we should give each other space, I need space."
He stomped off into the locker rooms wiping tears from his cheeks. All he had tried to do the past few months was try to be a good father, even before the baby was born and Betty knew that he didn't want to be like his dad was and she threw that right in his face.
