They arrived at the hospital and Jughead was stripped into a hospital gown and connected to loads of wires and a machine. Betty sat next to the bed and held his hands and kissed them. The rest of the gang arrived and quietly sat next to the sobbing Betty.
"He'll be ok Betty." Fangs reassured.
"I know he will, I know he would never leave this baby fatherless. One day, I'll be watching him cradle the baby his arms, rocking it back to sleep. And we'll get married and have another baby. We'll grow old together, he's my soulmate and I know there is no one else on this earth better suited for me than he is."

Jughead's Pov

"Smile for daddy." I  said as I cuddled by beautiful baby. I felt hands wrap around my waist and Betty rested her head on my shoulder. I rocked the baby back and forth.
"You are such a great father Jughead." She kissed me on the cheek and stroked the baby's hair.
"I love you Betty."
"I love you too Jughead." As she said that the ground started shaking. I looked at Betty and the baby. They were floating away and fading into the distance. I screamed their names until my lungs hurt, my throat on fire. The room was dark and only I was in it. The world was spinning round and round as I cried for my beautiful wife and baby. I crashed to the floor and cried and screamed.
I heard whispers around the room, it was Betty's voice, saying "come back to me Jug."

Third Person POV

Jughead lifted his torso up as he cried.
"Betty. Betty. Where are you." He trembled. He felt something grab his hands tightly.
"Jug, I'm right here we all are." He stared at her and smiled. He reached his arms out, and in great relief sighed at her. He fluttered his eyes at her, practically begging for her to climb into his arms.
"Let's get you out of all those tubes first gorgeous." The nurse was called in and removed all the tubes from Jughead, now that he was awake. As soon as she left Betty climbed on to the bed and wriggled into Jughead's arms.
"I missed you baby. I'm sorry for my mom, and my dad and my brother." Betty whispered.
"I missed you too beautiful. But I'm here now ." He soothed rubbing her back in circles.
"We're glad your ok Jug."
"I wasn't going to leave Betty, nor was I going to leave my baby. Ever." He kissed Betty's lips and stroked her stomach.

Jughead was discharged from the hospital the next day, and when they got home and went straight to bed.
"Are you sure you're ok?" Betty said stroking his face as she cuddled him close.
"I'm with you, I'm definitely ok."
"My parents and brother are on trial tomorrow. Usually it isn't that quick, but this is Riverdale. The town is so small nothing happens here."

The next day arrived and Betty and Jughead dressed in their finery as they left to go to court.
Each of Betty's family members were put on trial, and Betty and Jughead were to go on the witness stand for each of them to give their statements.
"Alice Cooper, you are guilty of child abuse and having possession of a serious weapon that you used to try and murder Forsythe Pendelton Jones III ."
"Hal Cooper, you are guilty of child abuse and having possession of a serious weapon that you used to try and murder Forsythe Pendelton Jones III."
"Charles Cooper, you are guilty of child abuse and having possession of a serious weapon that you used to try and murder Forsythe Pendelton Jones III."
They were charged with 5 years in prison with no parole.
"Betty are you ok?" Jughead whispered at the end of the trial. He rubbed her thigh delicately and looked her in her beautiful emerald eyes.
"Yes, they deserve every year they got. They tried to kill you Jughead. I will never forgive them." Betty said as tears fell down her cheeks. Jughead pulled her into a hug and stroked her head as she sobbed into her chest.
"But they didn't kill me, that's the main thing isn't it?" Jughead laughed, the best thing about Jughead is that no matter what situation he is in he can joke about it. Betty pecked him on the lips and pulled him out of the court room.
