~Chapter 10~

After health class, where everyone had learned that Jughead Jones the brave serpent had turned soft for his baby, the gang sat in the student lounge during free period and talked Prom.
"So as I am chairman of the student body and Cheryl here is my vice we have decided to talk to the rest of the team about your gender reveal at prom." Kevin cheered.
"That's sounds great Ke-" Betty was interrupted by the loud speaker:
"Could Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones please report to the principals office"
Betty looked at Jughead as he stood up- why were they going to the principal, what had they done, she thought- he held his hand out and pulled her up.
"Let's go." He said and wrapped his arm around her waist.

"Hello Principal Wetherbee you asked to see us." Betty gulped.
"Yes do come in." He gestured too the two chairs in front of his desk.
"So why are we here?" Jughead asked.
"I wanted to talk to you two about your- situation" He said.
"Oh you mean the baby." Betty said.
"Yes I do. So you two are too graduate in 2 months, but with the pregnancy will you be able to graduate."
"Well, when it's graduation I'll be 5 months pregnant so just about half way. I think I could do it and I think Jughead could."
"Well I had a thought because you two are two of the best students with your records and grades, I would hate for you not to be able to graduate. So I thought that if you two would do your GED's next month, that would guarantee that you do them and then obviously have your graduation ceremony with the rest of the students. What we want is the best for you two."
"So if Betty and I study for our GED's for the next month and then do them next month that will guarantee us getting them, so we don't risk Betty not being well enough."
"Exactly Mr Jones, are you two up for that."
"Yeah sure." They both said in unison.
"I also want to talk to you about school in general. As you know some classes will probably be hard for you Betty. One example is Gym class. Are you fit to do it."
"I probably will be fine, I just need to take it slow."
"As you are already aware the last semester of the year gym classes are done inside because of the heat, so therefore all sports will not be too intense like rope climbing, yoga, ball games. As you already know we have mixed gender gym classes so Betty if anything happens in Gym you'll have Jughead there to support you."
"Thank you, Mr Wetherbee." Betty said "is that all?"
"Just if you need anything there are plenty of teachers to talk too." He smiled and let them go.

"That's good news, right Betty?" Jughead said as they walked to her  locker.
"It's great news." She said and unlocked the locker. When she opened it she saw all of her favourite pictures: One was a picture of Archie and Betty was on his back and they had both pulled goofy faces, the second one was of Cheryl, Toni and Betty in their river vixen uniforms and it was them during one of their shows- Jughead had taken it, the third one was of Sweet Pea and Fangs holding her up in the Queen style and all three of them were in hysterics, the fourth was Kevin and her at Pops sharing a milkshake, the fifth one was a picture of  her and Jughead on their first date- it was a selfie they took, Betty was cuddled up to Jughead with her cheek pressed against his, the  sixth one was Jughead holding her by the waist and spinning her around, the seventh one was a picture of her Jughead kissing underneath mistletoe at Christmas time (Kevin had snapped the picture), Betty was wearing white fluffy Ug-boots and a pink and white plaid skirt with a white fluffy jumper- it was her favourite look as well as favourite picture and finally the eighth one was a picture of Jughead, at Pops, that she had taken. She smiled and stroked his face in the photo.
"Do you want a ninth picture?" He said holding up an ultrasound picture.
"Of course, I need my little marshmallow here." She laughed and stuck the picture next to the one of Jughead "Baby Marshmallow next to Daddy." She smiled and kissed Jughead's cheek.
"You missed" He said and turned her face so their lips met. "Better" He said.

They walked back to the lounge where all their friends had stayed put.

"So  guys are you gonna have a baby shower?" Kevin said.
"We want to wait until we have graduated, so then our prime focus is baby Marshmallow." Jughead said.
"Right we need to do a vote." Cheryl stated. "Boy or girl-I think it's a girl."
"Boy." Sweet Pea said.
"Girl." Fangs said.
"Boy." Toni said.
"Boy." Archie said.
"Girl." Kevin said.
"Boy." Betty said.
"Girl." Jughead "What are you my little Marshmallow." Jughead laughed and patted Betty's  stomach.
"I wrote it all down- whoever gets it wrong has to by a round of milkshakes at Pops. It's completely half and half we are looking at four rounds of milkshakes either way!" Cheryl laughed.
"I'm in for that- but remember who ever loses has to buy nine milkshakes not eight. Betty's drinking for two." Archie laughed.
"That's a good point Archibald." Jughead smirked.

After school Jughead and Betty were at home watching film, entangled in each other , when he got a call from Sweet Pea. He untangled  himself from the hug and walked to the coat rack.
"Babe will you be ok if I go to the Wyrm for a bit, they said they want to celebrate with me- about you and the baby." He smiled.
"We'll be fine, don't worry babe." Betty  said stroking her little bump.
"I love you." He said and kissed her goodbye. "I love you too." He said again and kissed her stomach.
"I love you Jughead." She smiled and waved him out.

She sat back down as she was exhausted and decided to have a nap.

"Here he is! The newest father in the Serpents!" Tall boy cheered as Jughead walked in. Everyone patted him on the back and cheered. He hung out with his second family and celebrated his new baby.
Later on Jughead walked home with his 4 best serpent friends: Sweet Pea, Fangs, Toni and Jake. Jake was Tall boys son, he was the same age as Jughead. They grew up together because their fathers were best friends but he went to a different school.
"Do you want to come in guys, Betty should be awake?" Jughead asked as he opened the trailer door.
"Hey Babe." Jughead said as he walked in and Sweet Pea,Fangs, Toni and Jake followed him in. "Oh crap, she's asleep." He said shushing the other Serpents.
"Do you want us to go." Toni said.
"No, let me just take her to bed." Jughead said and lifted Betty up, bridal style, and carried her  to their  bedroom.
"I love you" He said and kissed her forehead, he shut the light and returned back to the living room.
"So Jug, How do you feel about being a dad? It's so weird seeing you becoming an adult, it feels like just yesterday we were playing chase in the yard behind the Wyrm, with our dads watching us on the bench." Jake laughed.
"I couldn't be happier, I know it does and now soon enough I'll be watching my own baby running around."  Jughead sighed in disbelief.
"You are so sweet Jughead, and thank you for letting Cheryl and I be godmothers it really does mean the world to us." Toni said.
"And I can't wait to be an uncle." Sweet Pea said gulping his drink.

Half an hour later  Betty came wandering into the living room where she saw Toni, Fangs, Sweet Pea and Jake all sat on the couch and Jughead sat in the arm chair, he cocked his head around and looked at her smiling.
"Hey babe. How did you sleep?" He asked and held both his arms out.
"Good." Betty said and climbed into his arms, she squeezed next to him on the arm chair and buried her back in his chest then swung her legs over the arm of the chair. He placed his arm around her and kissed the crown of her head.
"Hey Betty how are you feeling?" Toni asked.
"Alright." Betty said placing her hands on her stomach and stroking the bump with her thumbs, she looked down at it and smiled "Great actually."
"I'm gonna head out, my mom wants me back." Jake said "Congratulations Jones, and you too Betty."
We all waved as he left..
"We are going to leave you two to it." Sweet Pea said as he stood up and winked whilst grinning.
"If you haven't noticed Sweetie I'm already pregnant, so nothing will happen, nor is it going to happen." Betty stated jokingly. Sweet Pea just laughed and followed Toni and Fangs out.
"I still haven't had my thank you by the way Jones." Sweet Pea said.
"For what?"
"Who's party and alcohol got you two drunk?" He teased.
"But I don't get why you need a thank you I'm the one who actually got Betty pregnant, well half me half her." Jughead laughed.
"Touché Jones." They all walked out and Jughead turned to Betty.
"Do you want to go back to sleep?" Jughead asked squeezing Betty's arm.
"Yeah." She said and headed to the bedroom. Jughead quickly followed and buried his head in her neck as they walked to their bedroom.
"I love you Betty." He said, his voice muffled as his head was still in her neck.
"I love you too." She said and pulled him forward and kissed him on the lips.
"I love you more."
"It's not possible." Betty laughed.
"Of course it is, I love you to infinity and back x10000"
"Nope. I love you more." She giggled.
