I fell hard onto the wet grass, the flashlight bouncing out of my hands and onto the ground in front of me. My jeans got mud on them where my knees were. I brushed it off and grabbed the flashlight. The sky was pink orange; the sun was setting, it was going to get dark and Tyrese was somewhere in the woods. I could barely hear his angry yells as he pursued the yellow eyed man.
I sprinted towards the sound of his voice. Once entering the woods I came to a slow jog not wanting to fall down again. I jumped over rocks and moved around trees trying to avoid any obstacle in my way. I could hear Ty's voice getting slightly louder.
Then suddenly it was silent. Ty wasn't screaming anymore and the woods had become eerily quiet.
"Tyrese?" I called out. I fumbled for the on switch on the flashlight as I noticed how it was suddenly getting dark, I couldnt make out anything in the dark of the woods as I looked around. I hadn't kept track of where I was going when I came running in here after Ty. As the light flickered on I had one thing figured out. I was in a part of the forest I had never seen in my life. I wasn't really the outdoorsy type and these woods go on for miles and miles. Anxiety and fear began to set in and my heart beat rapidly.
"Tyrese! Where are you??" I screamed as I began walking in the direction I had been going the last time I heard his voice. As the sky grew darker the forest became louder. Owls and frogs and different creatures could be heard but I couldn't see anything except the dark ominious trees encircling me.
Fear had taken over me and I was shaking as tears streamed down my face. My vision got blurry from crying, I lost my footing and fell again onto the cold dark earth. I laid there sobbing quietly. It was getting colder. I closed my eyes.
When I awoke I was laying in my bed. I blinked confused as my eyes slowly glazed over the room around me. My alarm was supposed to go off in two minutes.
"What the...?" I said slowly. I lifted the covers of the blankets off me. I was wearing a sheer pale violet night gown that Ashlee had bought me a year ago that I had never worn. Mostly because of the fact that the butt area was see through and it's not like I ever had anyone to impress with sexy launderie.
"What the fuck?" I said confused. I dont remember coming home let alone dressing in this. What is it with these sudden sleep attacks, now with memory loss I wondered to myself as I looked around the room. My backpack and binder were right where I left them when me and Ty came into the room. I arose from the bed and sprinted to the front door.
I stood in the center of the empty driveway feeling asthough I was crazy. Did I dream everything? Did Tyrese never come over? Where is he? Where's his car? A blue jeep drove down the street and the old man driving gave me a large smile and a wave. I remembered what I was wearing and ran back inside.
I could hear my alarm going off in my room. I slammed the off button and went to my dirty clothes hamper searching for the clothes that I had thrown on last night when I went out searching for Ty. I was throwing clothes out of the bin all around me. Once I felt the cold plastic bottom of the bin I started hyperventalating.
"What the fuck happened!?" I screamed. I looked to my window and saw that it was cracked. My eyes went wide. I walked up to the window and looked towards the woods as I shut and locked it. I grabbed my phone on the nightstand. It was at five percent battery and almost dead. I plugged it in irritated and anxious.
I didn't have Ty's number but I did have him added on FaceBox so I decided to send him a message over that.
"Hey just wanted to make sure you made it home alright...." before I could hit the send button I erased all of it. I'll just see him at school.
