Chapter 6 - First Time

"Rose?" Somebody was shaking my shoulder. From the sparks that fluttered through my body, I knew it was Cody.

"No, let me sleep," I mumbled turning away and snuggling into the pillow more. He kept shaking me, so I pushed his hand off and buried myself under the blankets

"Piss off," I growled, and Cody's deep laugh echoed through the room. I could get used to waking up like this.

"There are chocolate pancakes downstairs," Cody said, and I immediately sat right up. Mmm, those sound good. Anything chocolate sounds good right now. "I knew that would get you up." Cody laughed again, and I smiled sheepishly. They say a man's stomach is the way too his heart and chocolate is the way to mine.

"There better be chocolate pancakes," I said as I got up and pushed Cody out of the room. He seemed reluctant to leave me, but I needed to change.

"There won't be if you take too long!" I hear Oli yell from downstairs. That was it. I threw on shorts and an oversized shirt. Probably Cody's I don't care I just want pancakes.

"Stay away from what's mine," I growled throwing a glare at Oli. His plate was filled with deep brown delicious looking pancakes.

"I take it you mean the pancakes, not Cody because you can have both." I burst out laughing and Chloe and Oli joined in.

"Don't worry you I made you some too," Chloe says from her point at the stove. Sammie was sitting at the table and she was a mess. Golden syrup was tangled in her hair and her face was covered in the sticky goo.

"I've got this," I say taking the spatula from Chloe. She smiled at me before taking some pancakes and joining Sammie at the table.

As I finished off the last of the batter Cody prowled into the room. His scent hit me like a truck. It was distinctly male cologne and the mixture of pine trees and fresh grass. It was intoxicating, so much so that I just wanted to steal all of his shirts, so I could always smell it.

"You're not going out in that," Cody says glancing at what I was wearing, and I felt like retorting something along the lines of you can't tell me what I wear but decided against it. It wasn't worth an argument.

"Where are we going?" I asked and secretly hoped it wasn't training again. I ran more yesterday than I ever had and to be honest I'm a little sore. I saw Chloe's face light up and I had my answer. We were going shopping. I really needed to so it's not the worst thing.

"Get ready I'll drop you and Chloe off," Cody says and as I walk out of the room I see him walk over to Sammie and help her out of her sticky mess of syrup.

I got changed into ripped jeans and another oversized shirt. I only packed tight shirts and Cody wasn't going to let me go anywhere in that plus I liked his smell.

"What-" Cody said as I walked down. The jeans were a little too ripped but the glare I gave him made him shut up. He knew I wasn't going to change so he should just give it up.

"They're clothes now let's go," I said walking out the front door, Cody's growl followed after me, but I just smirked. I still wasn't playing easy.

Chloe and I bought heaps. Mostly jeans, shorts, and shirts. Comfy stuff mostly. Chloe talked me into getting some fancier things like skirts and dresses. I only agreed to the dresses because I wanted to see Cody's reaction when he saw them. I couldn't even count how many pairs of shoes I got. Mostly heels because I'm not the tallest, the gap between my 5'5 compared to Cody's 6'3 is in desperate need of being closed. I also got myself a lot more lingerie. Some a little too lacy and skimpy for my liking but if this relationship was headed where I knew it would I will need some.

Cody picked us up late afternoon and one look at all my bags he just sighed and put them in the back. I saw his eyes linger on the Victoria Secret one but a short growl from me had him looking away quickly. I almost burst out laughing.

When we got home, Chloe disappeared off with some girls, probably her friends, they all left giggling like babies and staring at me and Cody.

I unpacked all my clothes into the wardrobe in Cody and my room. Cody watched me the whole time his eyes bulging at some of the pieces I pulled out, but he made no comment.

"What?" I said turning to him. I was only halfway through unpacking my stuff and I could tell something was annoying him.

"I was thinking about yesterday." I almost groaned. My Luna senses I'm not sure I'm ready to face that fact. "Do you not want to be Luna?" Cody asked, and I could hear hurt lacing his tone

"It's not that it's just that..." I trailed off I wasn't sure where the sentence is headed. "I do, trust me I do really but it's just so much." I tried again, and I saw Cody's face brighten a bit. "But I mostly want to because that means I can get pancakes every morning." Cody burst out laughing and the sound warmed my heart. It's the first time I really made him laugh.

"If I have to make pancakes every morning just to keep you here then I'll gladly do so," Cody said with a smile. I almost died at the sight of it. He was stunning, I was so lucky to have him as my mate. Not that I was going to admit that to him. Yet.

"Why did you lock me away when we first met," I asked, and he immediately tensed. Great going me I just ruined the mood.

"I was planning to break you out that night and tell the guards that it was none of their business. But then you were in heat and..." He trailed off, but I just smiled. The rumours said nothing about this side of him. "You know the days I was away I actually slept inside the house, I couldn't stay away from you it made me so uncomfortable." It touched my heart when he spoke like this.

"I can't stay away from you either," I admitted. It was true. I was drawn to him not just because he was my mate, but I felt safe around him.

"Okay, this is getting too serious I'm going to get some food," Cody said getting up but as he did I tripped over the bags at my feet and in an instant, he caught me. I looked up at him and I didn't know who moved first but his lips were on mine.

"You don't know how long I've been wanting to do that." He said breaking away slightly. I was smiling like an idiot.

"Why did you stop?" I asked, and his lips were on mine again. They're soft against mine and he tasted of mint and salt. I intoxicated his scent and I was lost in him.

"I have to stop," Cody said breaking away. I knew why, and I was thankful he wasn't pushing me into anything. He walked out of the room, hopefully, to get food.

"Get me chocolate if you're getting food." I hollered after him and I could hear his distant laugh. I collapsed, my brain was a jumble of emotions.

**********************************

I want chocolate, correction I need chocolate but it's 2am and there's no way I can get some for a few hours so I might die. If I'm gone it's because I died from loss of chocolate hehe.

Enjoy, vote, comment, that stuff, thanks,
