[seven ; the threats]

"SURPRISINGLY I HAD A LOT OF fun today. we should hang out again." hyunjin smiles cheerfully, walking side by side next to hei ryung as he takes her home.
"how about next week then?"
"are you sure? let me choose next time, i have a whole list of places to eat that i think you're gonna like." he beams, eyes sparkling in excitement.
"sounds great." she smiles warmly.

they stop walking once they reach the front of her house. he takes the chance to ask for her number before she heads inside, "wait," he grabs ahold of her wrist and she turns to face him, confusion cast over her face, "c-could i get your number? i-if it's okay with y-"
she lets out a chuckle and takes the phone from his hands. as she presses her number, he looks towards her direction with a pout forming on his face. getting to know hei ryung just from today made him feel like he was responsible for protecting her and just the thought of her getting dragged in the sports shed made him angry.

"what you looking at?" she questions, returning his phone.
"nothing, i'm just thinking."
"about what?"
"well..if you wanna know, it's about who locked you up in the gym today. you worry me that you have this kind of bad luck and worst of all, what-"
"what if they pull something off again." hei ryung finishes his sentence and lets out a bitter laugh, "how can that be fair?"

his face drops and he immediately regrets bringing up such negative memories. "i-i'll be around you more often so d-don't worry too much." he pinches her left cheek, replacing her frown to a surprised expression. "smile hei ryung. it'll be fine. i'm here now."

minho's mood brightens at the sight of hei ryung walking to school, an umbrella held above her head that entirely protected her frame from the rain. he races underneath the shade next to her, "morning!" he perks and she immediately shoves her phone away in her pocket, wide eyed at his presence.

"m-minho, hi, you scared me a bit there."
his eyebrows furrow in response to her reaction, she looked pale and her face drained of blood.
"is something wrong? you look dreadful." she frowns and punches his arm.
"that's rude considering i straightened my hair for school today." she tried to lighten the mood but he was serious and he knew something was bothering her.
"i'm not talking about your hair, i'm asking if..you're okay. you look scared for some reason."

hei ryung couldn't take her eyes off of minho. he was so sincere, so gentle, she pondered on how she could ever come to think of him as a jerk-just as myung hee described him to be. exactly what happened between them?

it was until minho shook her shoulders that she returned to reality. "hei ryung, is there anything bothering you?"
there was something wrong. just this morning her phone had been spammed by an unknown number threatening her to stay away from hyunjin or she'd die. she was scared to death, the only time they really hung out was yesterday, was she being stalked? or rather was someone following hyunjin? was it linked to her getting locked in yesterday?

"hei ryung?" minho once again shakes her out of her thoughts. just the worried look in his eyes made it difficult for her to hide her predicament from him.
"you can tell me, i'll try to help."
she gave him a reassuring grin, "thanks. it's nice to see this side of you."
his face flushes and she chuckles at his reaction, "if i tell you, please keep it to yourself."
he nods and she continues, "i'm being blackmailed." looking around to see if anyone was watching her, she grabs him by the wrist and drags him behind a large tree. she hands him her phone and he reads through the messages:

UNKNOWN [XXX XXX YYY]
seen at 7:38am

unknown:
you'll be dead if i see you with hyunjin again.

unknown:
take this as a warning, stay away from him or i'll kill you.

unknown:
don't bother going to the cops unless you're wishing for your death.

i'm watching you. always.
seen 7:38 am

she whispers in a raspy voice, "i'm scared." she tugs on the bottom of his hoodie, her eyes shut in fear with a grimace marked on her face. he slowly opens his arms to bring her into a hug, hesitating as he draws closer.

"hei ryung!" hyunjin calls out and minho retracts his arms back to his side. he walks towards them, picking up on the mood, his smile drops to a sour expression. "did something happen?" inconspicuously motioning towards hei ryung still holding onto to minho's hoodie. he takes a quick glance at minho and diverts his gaze to hei ryung after, teeth clenching as if he just missed something between the two.
"umm well there's something i need to show you."
