[fifteen ; the phone]
"SARAH? YOU MEAN THESAME sarah that recently asked you out in front of everybody and was laughed out of class?" hyunjin only looks to the ground in discomfort towards seungmin's statement. "wow seungmin that was harsh." hei ryung answers, her tone of voice sarcastic and complacent. "well that's how everyone sees her now, what are you guys gonna do about it now that you know who's been texting you?" he replies nonchalantly and opens a packet of potato chips beside his laptop. "you guys want some?" he holds out the packet towards his friends.
the munching of the savoury delight seemed to have an unnerving response from hei ryung as she callously grabs the food from his hands - or was it her dissatisfaction towards seungmin's indecorous timing to eat - and shoves the snack behind her back, nodding side to side with solemn eyes.
"but don't you think it was too easy? like something feels off about this." hyunjin only looks up at hei ryung in confusion and she places a finger on her chin, eyes up to the ceiling depicting a display of sedate thinking.
"what are you implying?" the taller boy asks and she continues, "well just in case, we should confirm that sarah really was the one texting me and after we do that maybe hyunjin can tell her to stop." "yeah, you can hope that works." seungmin replies and wipes his hands on his shirt. "i don't appreciate the doubt of my skills." he jokes and continues, "now that i'm done, you guys can leave now." he walks towards his bedroom, grabbing ahold of his sleeping mask left previously disregarded on his blanket. "i need sleep, goodnight." "do you mind if we crash for the night? it's late and cold so.." seungmin doesn't answer and the two adolescents take it upon themselves to stay the night.

"well what do we have here?" the flash of a camera wakes hei ryung up and she looks up to see seungmin greeting her with a smirk. "this is cute." he laughs and she notices hyunjin's arms wrapped around her waist, his chest against her back and his face nuzzled in the crevice between her neck and shoulder. immediately pushing him away, hyunjin slowly opens his eyes and yawns. "what time is it?" he begins to stretch and her cheeks heat up, staring at the phone seungmin waves in front of her face. "i'm keeping this as memories so i'll never forget." he whispers mockingly at hei ryung and she eyes hyunjin to check whether he was listening. "you're gonna regret it." she responds and seungmin once again laughs, "call it a thank you for helping you out last night."
"it's a favour for a reason seungmin." her eyes burned straight through him and hyunjin grabs their attention, "am i missing something?" he asks as he watches his friends bicker quietly yet menacingly. "it's nothing." she yelps and he blinks abundantly at her reaction. "o-okay then." "anyways let's go visit minho," seungmin suggests, "he's getting check up from hospital today right?" hei ryung and hyunjin nods and gets ready to leave.
approaching the ginormous building, lurking behind the 3 juveniles was not the most threatening individual, but may certainly be the most deranged and unstable. left eye twitching, cracking knuckles and gritted teeth, she hid behind bushes as she watched hyunjin standing beside hei ryung and seungmin. it was annoying for her to consistently stalk her beloved only to see he was with another.
she gripped onto her wrist until it reddened and bled, helping her calm her nerves. it's what she always did to relax. she needed to see blood and usually the scratches on her arms were enough but not today.
"finally you come visit me." minho nonchalantly said as he saw seungmin enter the room. "how about an 'i'm grateful you came' attitude, at least i came to see you, i'm a busy person." seungmin responds and hei ryung nudges his arm, mouthing words that told him to shut up. "anyways let's get you-" "minho! i got you a water bottle." a high pitched voice interrupts her sentence.
"thank goodness sarah, you sure took your time." minho accepts the drink and seungmin, hyunjin and hei ryung stand in silence. with the information they had retrieved from last night, it was hard to see sarah normally without suspicion. "oh guys, sarah came in place of lianne to discuss school matters in relation to my title as class president. don't mind her, we're finished anyways." timidly, sarah held onto the hem of her shirt, hiding her face from hyunjin and bowed quickly before leaving the room. they all stood in utter silence before seungmin spoke up. "try to keep your distance from her. she could be the very cause for your stitches." "you're kidding, despite the small amount of time i've met her, she couldn't hurt a fly." "well how can you tell whose a stalker? it could be anyone."
❀
hei ryung and myung hee walked awkwardly beside each other as they headed towards the girls change rooms for their next period, physical education. the discomfort was discernible and hei ryung couldn't ignore the fact that she tried forcing herself onto minho. "about the other night-" "don't even start hei ryung. hyunjin asked and i don't want you to as well. let's just move on." regardless of her impertinent tone, the silence was getting to her and hei ryung rather she spoke then stay quiet. "okay."
class was beginning and hei ryung hadn't realized she was the last one left in the change rooms. "damn, i'm gonna get in trouble!" she panicked and almost tripped over her classmates belongings. there it was, she thought to herself as she noticed sarah's phone was out in the open lying on top of her folded academic uniform. if she could just check for assurance whether sarah had been sending the threats then she'd be at least a little less unsettled.
reaching out to the device, sarah's voice stops her in her tracks. "what are you doing?" judging from her awkward position with hei ryung's outstretched arm almost extending over to sarah's belongings, she had to think of an excuse. "oh um i lost balance and tripped over my own foot, i need to stop being so clumsy." she quickly retracted her arm back to her side, laughing awkwardly whilst sarah grabs ahold of her phone and shoves it back in her bag. "right. you should hurry back to class, our teacher is waiting." "alright and um what are you doing back here then?" "my hair tie snapped. i need to get another one." she pulled out a hair tie from the smallest pocket of her bag. "watch yourself hei ryung." "yeah sure."
