Kattappa couldn't kill Bahubali,his hands were dripping with blood.He was shook because he couldn't follow Rajmata's(the queen mother) order.
He was bound to follow the order of the king because he was slave of Mahismati for all his life.His father was also a slave and so was his grandfather.
But he couldn't kill Bahu( Baahubali),the prince of Mahismati who was like his own son.
Baahubali had understood that there was something wrong with Katappa that day.Kattappa was never so much worried about his life..and he kept telling him that 'leave me Bahu..leave me over here..to be killed by the.. enemies..my life is not valuable than you'
Baahubali knew Bhallaladeva(his cousin brother) was planning something against him .Thus he broke Kattappa's sword and confronted him.
Kattappa was in tears for the first time in his entire life.'Mama ( maternal uncle) why are you crying?why did you try to kill me?
