"Lottie! Wake up!" My eyes fluttered open to see Sam hovering over me with his newly red face. "You get to see our gig tonight" he said dully. I noticed then that Lewis and James were stood behind him. "She sleeps like a fucking angel." Lewis audibly whispered, making James laugh. I opened my eyes fully, booting into action. "Where are you off too?" I questioned, impatiently. I caught a glimpse of the yellow rubber gloves I still had on. Then the cleaning shit I used on the carpet laid next to me. "We're going to the hall to set up." I groaned slightly and stood up, wandering into the kitchen to put the gloves and the carpet cleaner away. Then, I saw the time. 12:30pm. "Oh shit! Where's Skye?!" The boys were stood in the entrance, chilled as ever. Lewis pushed to the front immediately. "She's out with Corey. " he calmed me down effectively and sunk to the back again. I sat up on the bench and inspected the clean kitchen. Sam really took care of his house. I let my eyes roam the room until I landed on the unimpressed expression slapped on Sam's face. "What the fuck is wrong with you?" Sam sighed and reached into his pocket, pulling out my phone angrily. He proceeded to unlock it and open up my texts. "Leo: 'Declan says he cares about you and loves you (bullshit) Please answer goddammit.' 'please tell me you're ok darling, we're all worried about you.' 'Lotso, Answer please.' 'Declan wants to speak to you.' 'Lottie, have fun. Lotsa love, Leo.' 'LOTTA!!.' Three missed calls from Leo and four from unknown number which i'm assuming is Declan. What the fuck is going on Lottie? Why do I not know about this Leo...and Declan. They sound pretty important." Sam looked hurt, like he had been betrayed. I felt betrayed too. The fact that he could skip to the worst conclusion hurt.
"Sam. Leo's my best friend. I haven't talked to him in three days. It would be natural for him to be worried. And Declan. Declan's the reason I wanted to get away. If it wasn't for him being such an insensitive douche, I wouldn't be here. You'd still be sprawled out in a pool of your own vomit and probably piss! Now, if you excuse me, I have to go track down Skye. I'll take my phone thank you. And i'll see you in a few hours at the hall. That is, if you've forgiven me." I jumped from the bench, my phone in my hand and changed into an outfit I had worn two days ago. It was sprawled out on the table after I washed it the morning after.
I changed carelessly, fully aware that the three boys got leaked views of my pink bra and disgracefully un matching knickers. "Soon. Suckers!" I left the house speedily so I could get on the phone to Leo without being judged or looked down on. He answered straight away.
"Lottie! Are you okay?!"
"Yeah! i'm cool! I'm having the best time in London."
"How was ITM?"
"We sold our tickets."
"What?"
"So we could see Sam and his boys rehearse."
"Sam?!"
"The love of my life. Thanks to Declan, i came out here early and met him in a book shop. He. Is. Fit. A guitarist in an ACDC tribute band too. I bet that sounds familiar."
When I was 15, I had talked non stop about a cute guitarist from an ACDC tribute band that actually talked to me! May I add that I was a fat, blonde girl head to toe in acne at that time.
"Too familiar." He groaned. I laughed.
"Well I'm glad you're having a nice time. I'd ask how Skye is, but I quite frankly could not give one shit."
"I understand."
"What are you going to do about Declan?"
I left this question to think about it, walking down the street in full thought mode. "Continue to ignore him."
"You're sure that'll work?"
"It's worked so far!"
"Nice one."
"Well, I have got to track some whore down. She's onto her second prey now. Bye!"
"Bye! Good luck!"
I hung up. The conversation with Leo was the best conversation I had had in a while.
