I woke up early, only because Virgil woke me up early. I looked at the time on my phone...

4:23am

I groaned and sighed. I'm usually considered a morning person, but not a super early morning person. Unlike 'the early bird gets the worm' it's usually 'the early bird gets even more tired when he wakes up earlier.'

My eyes lazily fluttered open and I looked at Virgil. I expected to hear a thunderstorm that caused him to wake up or some sort of panic attack. Instead, I got shaking and whimpering.

My 'brother instincts' kicked in and I immediately jumped off my chair and to Virgil's side. He was tossing and turning and was clutching onto his arms like his life depended on it. His head was buried in his pillow, and his whimpers soon turned into muffled cries.

I started to gently shake him, "Virge? V you ok?"

He didn't reply, he just continued to shake and cry.

I shook him more, "Virge? Virgil! Virgil wake up! Please!"
He started talking through sobs, "I d-don't want t-to! P-please! No! No-o! It h-hurts!        S-stop! Pl-lease!"

At this point, I started shaking with every care I had.

"Virgil! Virgil I'm here! Please wake up!"

I looked over at Roman, who was still asleep and hadn't heard a thing. I quickly ran over to Roman and pulled him by the arm until he slipped off the couch and hit the floor. He woke up in an instant.

"Patton! What the he-"
"No time Roman!," I said as I pulled him over to the crying Virgil.

I shook Virgil once more, only to get more mumbling and sobs.

"I don't know what to do! This has never happened before! I'm freaking out! Please help me!"

I bit my lip as Roman walked over to Virgil's side.

He looked back at me, "Have you tried smacking him with a pillow?"
I stared at him with wide eyes, "I ain't hitting my little brother with a pillow! Especially when he's like this! This ain't no regular pillow fight!"

The crying just got louder the more we waited and thought. Roman then snapped his fingers and walked over to the other side of Virgil. I just watched as he grabbed the cup of water from Virgil's tray ad poured it over him. Virgil gasped for air and shot up immediately. Once he noticed his face and shirt were soaked, he instantly shot Roman a glare. His breathing was still unsteady but it started to even out.

He looked over at me and dropped the anger and hugged me tight, almost like if he let go I would disappear. I hugged back and gained my voice back.

"What happened? You were shaking and crying and muttering. It almost made me cry out of fear!"
He didn't leave the hug when he answered,       "N-Nightmares."

Oh.

I looked over at Roman for anything else to support with. He just sighed.

"Do you want to talk about it?" Roman asked.

Virgil hesitated but eventually nodded. He slowly pulled away from the hug but kept ahold of my arm.

"Um... it was kind of weird and stupid... but still scary..."
He took a shaky breath.
"But... it was just that I was back at the fire... a-and I was a-alone... and then s-somebody grabbed m-me and t-tried to p-push me into th-the fire... and I cried and it h-hurt..."

He looked at me with watery eyes, "You wouldn't l-leave me by m-myself though,        w-would you?"
I shook my head immediately, "I would never do that! Never in a million years! Never ever!"

Virgil nodded slowly and looked around the room. He frowned.

"When can I see mom again?" He whispered.

I looked at Roman and he stared back, blank expression.

"Um- look... There's really no good way to um... put this..."

Virgil tilted his head in confusion as I continued my stammering.

"Mom... she's um..."

Knock Knock.

Oh thank god!

A nurse slowly opened the door and popped her head inside. She looked at Roman and pointed at him.

"Are you Roman? Logan's brother correct?"

Roman gave a small nod. The lady sighed.

"I have two things. First, I'm here to wanna you to please stop throwing pudding cups around the cafeteria-"
Roman gave a small laugh.
"And second, Logan is awake and is wanting to see you."

Roman's eyes went wide and he jumped up immediately, dashing out the door, bumping into the nurse.

"Wait! You don't know what floor it is!," she called, but he was already up the stairs.
"Give him a minute," Virgil croaked.

We waited for less than 10 seconds and Roman came back through the door.

"Where is his room exactly?"
The nurse gave a small giggle, "Room 518 on the 5th floor."

Roman nodded and sprinted down the hall.

"C'MON PATTON WE GOTTA FIND HIM AND THEN SLAP HIM FOR BEING GONE FOR SO LONG!!"

His voice died down the further down the hall he got. I giggled at his weirdness and turned my attention to the nurse.

"Do you think Virgil can come with us?"

The nurse clicked her tongue and looked at Virgil.

"He may be able to go. But he needs to promise to not use his voice if it's louder than a whisper."

I grinned and Virgil nodded.

"I promise."

The nurse smiled once more then stepped out of the room.

I turned to Virgil and helped him get out of bed. I saw that there was another pair of Romans old pajamas, probably brought by Michelle, and handed them to Virgil for him to change into.

While he was changing in the bathroom, I sat on the chair and stared at the door.

Will you ever tell him?
I don't know.

The longer you wait, the more mad he could get.
Maybe.

You should tell him before somebody else does.
I know.

Don't be a wimp and just do it.
But I don't want to hurt his feelings.

His feelings will be hurt either way.
I guess...

"Just take care of him for me... Alright?"

"I will."

Sorry I haven't been posting in awhile. I'm currently on a 2 weeks vacation and I've just had major Writer's Block. But I'm back and I'm already thinking about the next chapter.
