C H A P T E R T H R E E | She's Dark
"IT'S BEEN A WHILE, JAMES. Think about a world unlike yours. Won't it be great to have loving mother and a caring father to boss you over? You could leave this...scarred imagery behind you. This artificial reality that has moulded you into danger."
The wine glass in my hand clinked, the blood red liquid slapping against the spherical glass. A wicked smile lifted my lips and I threw my head back, rose gold curls cascading down my back. Pushing my elbows back in the seat, I let the rose gold tendrils cover my bare arms.
"I like it. I like how dangerous I can get. I like how everyone just listens to me when I'm in control. You see, I love power and I hate dominant and controlling men like you. All of you disgust me." I hiccuped, my rage travelling through my words. The young man in front of me pursed his lips. "You can't hate me, Sav-"
"Don't ever do the mistake of calling me by my name. I would kill you. You should consider yourself lucky that you found me drunk or else you would be beaten to death by my girls."
That shut him up for good. I sensed him gulping, his fear back in place. A smirk graced my lips. His only mistake was being a man, that's it. Fucking pig.
"It will surface. The boy you killed-- John. It will backfire on you. You can't hide the body forever in your chamber, James. Who cares if he's an orphan? He was still an innocent human who probably had a lot of potential but you snatched that from him."
I placed the wine glass back on the counter. "You don't want me on your back side," I warned him in a low voice, my eyes turning dark. He put his hands up in a truce. "I don't want to start a war with you. You're the all-knowing Boss."
"Good. Now get out," I ordered in a terse voice, my tone curt. He slowly got up and than without sparing me a second glance, shuffled out. Who the hell does he think he is? He think he knows me. No one knows me. No one can. "AARGH," a growl escaped my lips and I let out a shrill cry of rage before taking the wine glass and slamming it against the bulb that immediately shattered before my eyes. Darkness spilled through out the room, letting silence rule over.
I pulled my bare legs up into my seat, wrapping my arms around my knees and positioning my head into my lap. My hair circled my frame like a much needed curtain. I belong in darkness. I have no soul. I am alone and lonely at the same time. My eyes began to get watery as I watched the blood trickle down my finger which accidentally got cut by the glass that I shattered a few seconds ago.
You can hurt others...project your pain. Channel it.
I had donned on a black bralet and black panties along with a short silk robe, my belly button piercing folding into my toned stomach. In the distance, I sensed somebody which led to me picking my head up and narrowing my eyes in a cat-like stare. Her blonde head moved through the dark shadows as she knelt down and began to pick the glass that I shattered.
