C H A P T E R F O U R T E E N | Her First Day
STARING AT THE BLOODY MESS, I observed how his dark blood was turning our carpet crimson. The ugly shade of red that made everything ugly.
He was dead.
Her screams were harsh on my ears, her arms hitting my arms. Tugging on my ear, I simply cocked my head. "You stupid bitch!"
She told me she loved me. This morning she had allowed her soft fingers to pet my hair. Now, she hated me.Tears formed in my eyes.
"Who is going to take care of us now?" She had large tears in her eyes and maybe those tears distorted my image because she didn't seem shaken by how I appeared. She didn't care that her boyfriend touched me.
"Mother," I croaked, finally resurfacing.
"No! Don't call me mother! You have no right." With a trembling rage, she snarled at me. "You murderer!" She yelled insults before digging her sharp nails into my shoulders and pushing me out the door. "You killed my husband. How dare you?" She raged on, slamming at my shoulders. "Get out. I don't ever want to see your pathetic face!" She screeched and once I was out of her house, she slammed the door on me.
Who had loved me and who didn't? Love was never my forte. Although, it had its attractions and all of my girls had once fallen in love. The twins had their fair amount of crushes, Holly had John for a while and Natalie had a boyfriend but Cora has Sebastian.
His name pulled me back to reality as I gazed at the bold words on the small piece of paper. He had written a note for me. Sebastien wanted me to drink a pineapple flavoured fruit juice for the headache and he had also laid some painkillers beside his bronze coloured water bottle. I raised an eyebrow when I found out his parents were in jail.
Surprising.
Scrunching up the letter, I tossed it at the ground and retreated to the desk where my bag was positioned. The trail of coke that I had left on the desk wasn't there anymore. Hardening my jaw at his audacity, I decided to corner him once and for all. I wanted to end whatever was going on with the stupid, innocent Sebastion Meyers.
