CHAPTER NINETEEN | He Sees Torture
THE MOMENT I REACHED upstairs, Holly Clemonte untangled herself from me and followed her fellow sisters inside Savannah's room. They immediately lock the door after their retreat into her room. The only thing that separated me from her room was this damn door that had the lock inside. My fingers itched to open the door or just knock it down so I could see her for myself. I could see if Savannah was alright.
Crash!
Another thing went down the drain. My fist soared in the air for few seconds, fingers positioned in such a way that if they were to meet with the door, they'd go off. Harsh screams emanated from inside the room causing my heartbeat to accelerate further. Was she okay? Was she suddenly dying of a prolonged ailment?
After just waiting for a minute, I decided to offer myself a seat on the brown love seat in the hallways. The beige throw cushions on the love seat had this weird look about them as if they were brutally mutilated but stuck together in the end. I wonder who would be angry at a bunch of pillows? Placing my hand on the armrest, I begin to hum random tunes.
The door opened and out came Cora followed by others. She eyed me fiercely, her black eyes daunting and terrifying my organs deeply. A small smile curved my lips. "All good, I'm assuming."
"Leave," she said before storming downstairs, hands immediately clenching into fists. Natalie who was nearby, gave me a soft glance. A tender look came into her eyes as she eyed my confusion, her red tainted lips forming a genuine smile that could win hearts. "I'm sorry, Sebastion. You need to leave."
Her fingers gently caressed my jaw, leaving invisible marks of affection and awe. "They did your face bad," she commented, frowning eyes set on the bruises on my face. I could only nod at her comment. Then she left too with her siamese twins: Deborah and Delilah. The last one to leave was Holly who slowly approached me.
"Holly?" I stood up only to sit down again when I realized how short she was compared to my towering persona. She sat down next to me, her hands in her lap. Her golden hair came down to her lap and they shone with light. With sombre hazel eyes, she eyed the ceiling before pursing her lips. The edges of her eyes begin to appear red as tears glistened at the rims of her eyes. The lower lip trembled and a choked sob escaped past her lips.
Immediately, she cupped a palm around her lips and buried her face into her hands. Her entire form begin to shake with anguish and tears that yearned to fall.Pushing at my glasses, I gulped.
Looking past her cupped hands, she gazed at the bare walls before turning her head to look at me. "S-Sebastion, I lied when I said he cheated on me. He didn't-" She bursted into tears again. What the hell.
