1. An Odd Tone

(Mainly) At Ryan's House:

"See ya later, scaredy cat."

  "Bye, slenderman."

  Ryan walked out of the BuzzFeed building after he said goodbye to Shane Madej, his friend and co-host for BuzzFeed Unsolved. It's been a long day, so he plans to just get home and eat popcorn while watching some stupid show like Rick and Morty.

  When he got home, he immediately dropped everything he's holding and lied on his couch.

  Finally, silence. No more of Shane's dumb jokes. Complete and utter silence....

  BANG!

  Ryan immediately sat up on the sofa and stared with wide, gopher-like eyes at his patio door. He fumbled with his phone until he looked closely and realized the sound was just some idiot standing on his porch. Wait, WHAT?!

  It was Shane, who starting smiling like an air head and waved like a lunatic at Ryan.

  Ryan, with his scaredy-cat senses, hesitated to even move. I mean, what the heck was he doing here? 

  Shane pointed to the lock on the sliding door, asking Ryan to open it.

  Ryan finally got up and opened the door, "What the heck are you doing here?"

  Shane stopped for a second before answering, "I might've... forgotten the keys to my house at work."

  Ryan face palmed, "Why'd you come here? And why did you bang on the gosh-darn DOOR?!"

  A devilish grin appeared on Shane's face, "I wanted to scare you."

  "You piece of sh*t!" Ryan opened the door and let Shane walk in, closing and locking the door behind him.

  Shane spun around towards Ryan, "So! What're we gonna do tonight?"

  Ryan sighed, "I was planning on relaxing... but since you're here I can't do that."

  Shane frowned, "Aw, come on. We can still do that. I promise I won't make a single sound."

  Ryan knew he couldn't do that, this was Shane after all. Regardless, Ryan agreed to Shane and they settled on separate couches. Then Shane got up and made popcorn for both him and Ryan.

  Shane gave Ryan a bowl of popcorn, "Say, can I borrow some clothes? My jeans aren't very comfortable."

  Ryan sighed, "Yeah, just check my drawer and you'll find some."

  Then Shane got up and went into Ryan's room and to the drawer. He opened a couple of the drawers until he found some sweat pants and a BuzzFeed Unsolved shirt saying, Hey Ghouls, The Boys are Here.

  He went into the bathroom and changed, then came back into the living room wearing the shirt and sweatpants. It's funny because the sweatpants were a bit short for him, but he thought he 'made it work' whatever that means.

  Ryan was eating popcorn and watching Rick and Morty. Shane noticed that he looked really tired and probably dead.

  "Ryan, are you feeling okay?" Shane asked concerned.

   "Shane I'm fine. It's... been a long week."

  "You should get some rest then."

  "That's what I'm trying to do here."

  Shane decided to mess around with  Ryan a bit, he said in a deeper tone, "You know I don't like it when you're disobeying me."

  Ryan turned to Shane with an odd look, "What the hell, Shane? What's with that voice?"

  Shane continued, "You shouldn't disobey me like that. I like it when you're..." he whispered in his ear, "...submissive." 

  Ryan felt a shiver up his spine as he tried to back away from Shane, He never talks to me like this.. what's going on?

  Shane got closer to him and said in his deep tone, "You get really grumpy when you don't get enough sleep."

  Then Shane swiftly placed both his hands on the couch on each side of Ryan so he couldn't escape. Ryan's face was red and he went from being very weirded out to straight-up uncomfortable.

  "S-Shane," Ryan said in a scared voice, "w-what are you doing?"

  Shane's voice returned to its normal tone, "I don't know."

  Suddenly Shane closed the space between them and kissed Ryan. Ryan was in complete shock as Shane was feeling like he was in heaven. He'd never really loved Ryan in this type of way. He did love to see him scared, but he also loved to see him smiling and excited. Was this love?

  Ryan was still shocked at what was happening— Shane was kissing him! He always had a special spot for Shane in his heart. A place only he belonged, a place where nothing else seemed to matter. It was like, Heaven.

  To Shane's surprise, Ryan kissed back, wrapping his arms around Shane's neck as they kissed. It was a passionate kiss. This indeed, was LOVE.
