At (A beach in California):
The waves crashed against the rocky ledge where Ryan stood. That night the ocean seemed very alive, as if mother nature was angry or frustrated. Ryan didn't typically take walks along the beach, especially at night. The fear of being kidnapped or worse would keep him from doing so.
He stood on the rocky ledge, still staring out at the ferocious waves with a blank expression. He had come back to California to visit family and some old friends. Though, other than that he didn't really know why he came here. One day he just decided to leave Los Angeles and take a vacation. As he stood on the ledge he reflected on what he's done so far, and what is to come. He had finally hosted a show, Buzzfeed Unsolved and he did feel content about this. Yet, there was still something missing. Like, a puzzle piece missing, and he can't finish the puzzle until he finds it. He just didn't know what was missing.
Suddenly, interrupting his thoughts he heard footsteps on the gravel behind him. He quickly turned only to see a 6'4 tall Bigfoot staring back at him. He turned away and looked back at the sea, "What do you want?"
Shane responded reluctantly, "I don't know, actually."
Ryan scoffed, that was a dumb answer to his question. He didn't even know Shane came to California. He just thought Shane would've gone back to Illinois or something.
Ryan attempted to step slightly closer to the edge, but Shane quickly grabbed his arm. As if he was worried or afraid that he'd fall.
"H-hey now! Don't get to close to the edge, you could fall!" Shane quickly said, trying to hide his anxiety.
Ryan shook Shane's arm off and turned to him again, "So? Why do you, of all people, care?"
Shane was taken aback by Ryan's annoyed response, and his blank, slightly troubled expression staring back at him. He didn't even know why. Why he was afraid for Ryan, why he was standing so close to Ryan, and why he even CAME to California.
Shane opened his mouth to respond, "I-"
"Don't give me that bull crap excuse!" Ryan snapped.
Shane still didn't know what to say. For the first time he didn't know anything. He always relied on math and reasoning, but he couldn't use that now. It was as if someone brain washed him because nothing seemed to circulate in his mind... well, maybe one thing.
Shane stepped closer to Ryan and leaned down, kissing him. Ryan was so shocked he couldn't seem to function. His body was frozen and his mind drew a blank. What is happening?
Shane, on the other hand, was in heaven. Ryan's lips were soft and perfect, so perfect, in fact, that Shane just wanted to stay like this forever. But then, he realized Ryan wasn't reciprocating these feelings. He wasn't kissing back.
As Shane pulled away, Ryan came back to reality, but he still didn't understand why Shane did that. After all, Shane always had a reason for his actions.
"Why...why did you do that?" Ryan asked almost in a whisper as he stared at their feet.
"I told you, I don't really know... but there's something about you, that makes me really happy. I couldn't tell you with words because I couldn't understand either," Shane sighed, with a heartbroken smile on his face, "but I know, you don't feel the same."
Ryan felt crushed by Shane's smile, and he felt moved by Shane's confession. It was cheesy, sure, but it was so out of character and touching that Ryan knew it was sincere.
Shane turned around to walk away, but Ryan grabbed his arm and said, "You're wrong."
"What?"
"You're wrong, I do feel the same. I-I love you, a lot."
Shane's eyes widened at Ryan as he turned around to hide his bright red face. Ryan never confessed to someone like this. Usually he'd just ask them on a date or something. Never had he ever thought of confessing like this.
Shane's face lit up and his grin turned into a goofy love-struck grin as he saw Ryan's blush, confirming he was telling the truth.
Shane unexpectedly picked Ryan up by the waist and spun him around, "Weeee! Ryan Bergara loves me!"
Ryan blushed wildly as Shane set him down on the ground, Ryan muttered, embarrassed, "W-what the f-"
Shane interrupted Ryan by kissing him on the lips, but this time, Ryan kissed back, his hands running through Shane's hair. Shane held Ryan's hands in his own, but then moved his hands to Ryan's waist, deepening the kiss.
After a while, they both pulled away panting and blushing like crazy. Then, they hugged.
"Ryan?"
"Yeah?"
"I love you"
"I love you too.."
"Do you wanna go now? It's getting cold."
"Sure."
They both walked away hand-in-hand and in love. This isn't the end, because it's only the beginning.
